    He has suffered several injuries since the first year and finally showed his true talent in 2021. It was only three years, but it was a long journey. I hope his journey in the future will be a good one.

      Well, those brothers and fathers better keep those women in check! LMAO!!! They'll ruin a good thing!
      Tiger Woods hasn't been the same since all the white pussy - they "chipped" away at his golfing powers....LMAO!
      Johnny Depp, Ben Affleck, and Brad Pitt got screwed. Larry King married eight times. Rush Limbaugh four times. Dennis Hopper, Clark Gable, and Billy Bob Thorton - five. Tom Cruise - 3. Jerry Lee Lewis - 7. Tony Curtis - 6.
      Robin Williams, Chris Cornell, Dave Mirra, and Chester Bennington offed themselves while being married....Shit, management had better hire body guards for Shohei -STAT! LOL

    Jays fan here....soooooo unbelievably jealous you Angels got him! I am a huge fan of this kid, been watching his Japan highlights for a few years now. I was so excited to hear that he was coming over to MLB last season. I was praying he would come to Canada but knew it was a long shot. Nonetheless, I am pulling for him and look up every day to see what the kid is doing. Of course, when you guys come up to Toronto, I have to support my Jays, but I will be on my feet giving him his due if he goes long against my team.
    Can you believe this guy also throws 100mph?!?! And he has a Kershaw like curveball to boot as well. The thing that astounds me about his home runs is that 2 of the 3 were out to straight away centre. That is the hallmark of a great hitter.
    Go Shohei! We are rooting for you up here in Canada!

      kev127 He’s from Japan. He’s a slugger and he pitches 100 mph fastballs. He’s got a pretty likable personality. It’s not hard to make the correlation. The guy’s so awesome it’s unreal, like an anime character.

    • @kev1277
      @kev1277 6 лет назад +7

      MsMrapplepie He's an anime character just cause he's Japanese? That's freaking lame. The Japanese are real people not just anime characters so why not acknowledge him as the real athlete he is instead demoting him to a cartoon.

    • @MsMrapplepie
      @MsMrapplepie 6 лет назад +64

      kev127 It’s like comparing American athletes to superheroes. I don’t understand why you’re making a big fuss about it. Is it wrong to compare an amazing athlete to Superman because what they’re doing is so amazing? How do you nitpick a compliment that isn’t even for you? 🤦‍♂️

    Ichiro's last (most likely) and Ohtani's first season in mlb. Last few chances to see these two compete against each other.. I'm going to watch every Mariners vs. Angels this season...while I am becoming an Ohtani's fan I still would love to see Ichiro robbing some of his hits and home runs with incredible catches...

    The thing that impresses me most about Ohtani is his earnest desire to play at the highest level. He could have taken the safe route and stayed for 2 years more in Japan then come to the US as a free agent and he would have commanded a 9 figure salary. Instead he opted to be posted and earn an MLB minimum (542k?). On top of that the Amgels have control of him for the next 6 years. I tip my hat off to you Ohtani-san!

    I love Shohei's personality at 0:39. He is shooting star of an athlete. Great sportsmanship, 101 mph fastballs, a huge range of pitches-that of which are hard to throw, but yet he still has great control-he also is a huge slugger, and he makes no room for the excuse that pitcher's can't hit. He is too classy, and out of our league-yet he is still so young. I am very excited to see where his career goes!
