Thank you for watching!
This is canon.
Ill say vader is beyond the realm of rage, this is the man that put him in this excruciating suit and took away his true powers potential 20 years prior.
Weeelll, Sidious put him in it. Obi-Wan just provided the "opportunity."
And Whoes fault was that he is in that suit? Not obi wan's lmao
For Vader, Obiwan is both a reminder of who he was and was destined to be, and also of what he had lost. His wife, potential child, and the possibility to reforge the galaxy to his own Empire, where he believed he could bring peace, and prosperity.
So yeah, him being "enraged" is an understatement. It is hatred, both for Obiwan, but also of himself.
Anybody know the name of the song in her outro?
I mean... it's not canon
This reimagined scene is officially a 2019 icon. It’s blowing up like crazy, and rightfully
This is perfect!!! In the corridor you could FEEL Vader’s anger and you could feel every emotion, and yes “the punching is out of character for Vader, but it’s perfectly in character of Anakin” taken from the comments section of the video, but I’m speechless on how perfect this video is
He actually uses punches and stuff like that more in the comics. It's rare, but he does do it.
Tbh A huge dude with mechanical arms and legs should fight with his own fists so...i dont know why its "out of character" :S
It makes sense because this fight is personal for vader.
He punches in the force unleashed games and also in the comics just like in ROTS
This is how it always should have been. Vader is PISSED! He absolutely hates Obi Wan, Sidious, and himself for Padme's death. Vader is scary af and looks totally fucking unstoppable. "There is no escape".
I love how, when Vader slashes through the wall and the lights go from blue to red. As they keep fighting in the red hall, it's like a call back to Anakin and Obiwan fighting at Mustafar, just amazing. Also incorporating the audio from Anakin yelling "I hate you"!!! And Obi saying " you were brother Anakin, I loved you"!! That just put it over the top for me 😭😭😭😭😭
Mike Maoudj - the audio flashbacks were the worst. Vader wouldn’t have Anakin flashbacks. He suppresses Anakin and thinks he’s weak.
No where ever does Vader meantions he hates Obiwan and has such rage for him. Anakin did at the time, but Vader is far removed from Anakin.
@@-007-2 No, Anakin never really stopped to exist, what made him fall to the dark side is also what brought him back to light. Anakin/Vader is a man of passion and feelings that does not go simply by the just the light/dark side dogma.
Mike Maoudj yuppppppp
Monfort Nicolas Exactly
@@-007-2 The flashbacks weren't about Obi-Wan or Vader. They were about *you* ...
I absolutely love when Vader is briefly on fire and he doesn't give a single shit, you can feel the rage radiate from him like a whirlwind of death and its amazing.
Edit: Yes I know his suit protects him, that wasn't the point. It wouldnt have mattered if the fire actually hurt him, he was beyond anything but pure rage facing Obi-Wan.
His armour protected him so he had no reason to give a f@#@
Me:
*watches Vader catch on fire*
Me: Oh no, here we go again...
You're chair makes it look as if you have elf ears!!!
MARQUE9368 I thought the same thing!
When he comes raging out of the fire, man! I want more vader fights like this!

You just earned yourself a subscriber.
"You know what, I don't care." That's why I'm still subscribed
💕
Vader even heard Obi-wan tell luke to run.
Kpoole25 in the comics vader was concerned with the strength of obi wan and after landing the killing blow there was nothing because usually there is remnants of pieces of a body after slicing through someone with his saber...look it up
Honestly I love their take on it too. There is just far more emotion in this fight than the origional. Love the origional, but my lord I wish we got a confrontation like this in it.
WOW! You can feel the 'Rage' from Vader's every strike! Very powerful and well done!!
I'm calling this Canon!
Love your reaction! BTW!!
And now you’ll watch A New Hope and feel like something is missing ... xD
The 4D chess is to burn yourself a Blu-Ray with this new reimagined scene flawlessly blended (edited) into the full "A New Hope" movie.
You NEED to upload that somwhere
@Mr. Perfect Cell DUDE! I would so love to see that! I wanna see your versions of the movies so bad! Lol.
The Force push slide with the cape flowing was just... Excellent touch. And the slow rise afterward with the music. Flawless.
They say:thanos is the best villain ever
I say:hold my lightsaber
Huioarmy as a villain Vader>> thanos
As a villain yes vader>thanos cuz thanos is a hero. But as a character vader=thanos, with this version of the scene.
Me
To kids maybe.
Vader is a legend.
Palpatine > every other villain.
I was the same as u I started to tear up when you heard the voices of young Anakin and Obi-Wan 😢
This is the best choreographed lightsaber fight I've seen
And it's fan-made
What about aniken vs obi wan in rots
Vader's horizontal slashes, in the beginning of the fight, resembled a lot of anger for Obi-Wan, as it should. Lots of emotion in the first few seconds of this fight.
Loved how your face lit up when you heard those lines from Revenge of the Sith! These guys really got this spot on!
Thomas Carroll Yh lol
Yup My mind this is cannon Love how in that small hallway was a Echo of Mustafar and after all these years of looking for Obi all that pent up Rage unleashed by Vader!🔥👊👍 Great reaction as always Jenn🙌
From the first moment i watched this 3 days ago i kept think to myself " I can't wait to watch Jen react to this"
thank you for posting this so quickly
YES!!!😂 I’ve been looking forward to your reaction on this😂💀
I knew you would love it, they really captured Vader’s built up rage and hatred really well.
Great reaction Jen! Absolutely love what they did with this scene! These are the kinds of people, FANS, that should be working on the next generation of films!
Honestly, that ending where they have vocal flashbacks gets me because it is probably exactly what they were thinking about.
i saw episode 4, with my father in theater in 1977, it was amazing! And over the years, i felt like the fight was....a bit desapointing! But for the time, it was great!
But wen i saw that. WWWWHHHHOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!! SO amazing!!!!!!! the kid in me lives again! so coooooollll. love it!
I love how they had Vader head butting and punching while he fought it was a call to anikans more aggressive combat style when he first became Vader in episode 3
I don't understand English, but watching your emotions is awesome! You are so sincere! Subscribed to your channel. From Russia with love.
NajDak оооо привет!
3:48 - Your face has the expression of "Shit just got real" xD
Great video and reaction, loved it :P
Ahh,another awesome Star Wars reaction from Jen, now my day is perfect.
Absolutely loved this remake of there fight better than the original could ever be.
this 6mins reimagained scene is better than all of the last jedi.
Preach brother..
Obi Wan doing so well at his age.. He is and always will be my favorite Jedi
I love Obi-Wan too,but Ahsoka is still my favorite.
Love your eyes go slighty bigger when obi looks at the saber to his right at 3:52 that made me laugh. For that was probably my reaction if i did these hehe
This is canon. This movie pays homage to the Rogue One's corridor scene of Vader's rage where he is mercilessly cutting down Rebels to the last man, and then seeing how his prey runs away at the last moment. Vader's Rage continues here with open wounds re-opened with his confrontation with his former master/friend, displaying "Sith goes postal AND medieval".
I just thought of it but imagine how much that power bill for the death star would be like. Especially because you have the signature lights on the wall but still.
I like how you do your videos with you in small box rather than video like most people do. Keep up the good work. Been watching your vids and subbed
Look at her face during the audio flashbacks. That says everything.
Absolutely
Hope "Galaxy of adventure" take inspiration on that fan job to make the animated fight between Obiwan and Vader.
The lightsaber throw is my favorite part.
I especially loved when Vader threw his 'saber into the wall.
this scene remastered is even better than the newer fighting scenes
Love your enthusiasm and connection to the Star Wars world! Back when I first saw the original in 1977, 13 years of age at the time, not a lot of females were into Sci-Fi. You have a new fan and I think you're absolutely stunning!
I’ve watched plenty of reaction videos to this, and yours was the most captivating... genuine excitement in awe of a masterpiece
Keep up the good work!!
Like you said, this was just excellent. The addition of the quotes from the prequels alongside the swelling of the music and the shot of Vader raising his head up and his lightsaber to his side... overall it really captured the anger that Vader would possess at that time. I think the original had its intentions with how it played out, but I feel incredibly lucky that talented people can come together to make something that stays so true to the series.
you should have a look at the Astartes short films too, amazing animations
S J yeah I love how those properly show how brutal Adeptus Astartes can be.
I wish this was part of the Star Wars scenes
Not sure if anyone noticed, but Vader injures Obiwan in almost the exact same places as Dooku did in Episode II : O
on the shoulder
I don't really care what others like or dislike about any parts or CGI or anything...I think it was brilliant and awesome how they reimagine this scene...Like the title says...just imagine if this scene was like this???WOW...you are right girl, this was awesome and just the little clips, like Vader using the force to grab the lightsabers, so cool..It was more intense and you can feel the hatred and the lightsabers hitting was hard and sounding were great....RESPECT...
omg your easily becoming my favorite star war reactor, keepem comin
I thought you were going to cry in the end....the power of true star wars.
Could you react to Tom Clancy's Breakpoint Trailer?
Couldn't wait to see your reaction to this loved it & this needs to be added to the movie
It was straight up perfect nothing else absolutely fantastic work by that guy I wish that was included in the movie back then it makes ya wonder what if they remastered the old movies with today’s effects
Congratulations on 50 thousand subscribers 💪🖒🖒
This is the best lightsaber duel in all of star wars. No question.
That gives me chills every time it should have been that that would be the best fight scene I have seen starwars should be like that
For me, this is now the canon version of this scene, not only for the action, but for the deeper emotional context between Vader and Kenobi. I know most people don't like the prequels (and I agree they're not the best of Star Wars, but I don't hate them), but showing this as a final moment for that trilogy brings tears to my eyes. If I were Kathleen Kennedy, I'd have this reimagined scene integrated into all digital releases of Episode IV.
There's also the cold hard truth that Obi-Wan is in his early-to-mid 50s here, while Vader is in his early 40s, and George Lucas's original explanation of their scene lacking any hard Jedi combat (compared to the prequels) just doesn't really hold anymore, after seeing an 80 year old (Dooku) and an 882-year old (C'mon, you really have to guess?!) soaring at each other like young Samurai warriors. The only thing holding Sc. 38 back was the limited tech available for lightsabers.
cannot stop watching this clip, they should really add this! rocks
The death star has tons of giant pointless pits with no safety railings, monsters living in the garbage can, and sliding doors that open and shut REALLY fast. Man that place must have high turnover.
I like to see your expression especially at the end when Vader says " It couldn't be ?". He was fast is muturing he had that anger hatred agression he finally got his vengeance.
He said "Kenobi...". It was the moment when Vader realized he didn't actually defeat Obi-Wan.
Im ... Im cryied on this :(
i was hanging out for your reaction to this, Vader and Kenobi... the feels!!!! :'(
50k congrats. This video reaction is perfect for this!
Yeah, THIS is how that scene should have been! Guess that what would Lucas do, had he not be so short on time, and had there already been modern CGI invented.
I'm sure you heard about it, but R.I.P. Peter Mayhew.
Love your reaction. It’s so mind blowing that scene was.
I never knew what you said during the "I know Obi-Wan is gonna *something* out of there." Until today that I've watched your video for the millionth time that I finally understood that you said "yeet", lololololol!!!
I enjoyed your reaction. I still hopes you ever reacts to more videos like that of Dudufilm
May the force be with you
imagine this reaction in 1977
Star Wars already blew people's minds, but this... Woo.
And just imagine the fans knowing or guessing that Vader is Luke's father in this, which would change the reveal in The Empire Strikes Back.
5:45 oh no don´t you dare closing that...door...
for the next anniversary release edition, they really should add this in place of the original footage.
THERE IS NO ESCAPEi love it when Vader says Kenobi
Wow 😮
This was amazingly well done!
Great reaction!
I saw this video on 9gag, thanks that you reacted to it, it is so good imo :)
Thank You, Thank YOU for reacting to this video!
Glad you like it, and I agree it was so powerful .Don't get on Darth's dark side.
Where is George Lucas's comment which he says "this is canon now" or something?
This should be the latest version of A New Hope! If it ever comes out on Blu-Ray and DVD I’d get a copy of it the second it would be released.
I’ve seen a few comments about the punching, a lot of the stuff I’ve read and things I’ve watched have said that punching and kicks were commonplace like in a sword fight, especially because the Sith and Jedi’s bodies were greatly enhanced in power and speed by the force, and multiple times throughout novels has Vader been seen to punch in a duel, as are other characters, just never made it to the movies I gusss
Guess*
he hated Obi-wan so much that walking into the fireball and being lit on fire didn't even slow him down. Remember he was BURNED ALIVE the last time those two met.
The scene is so utterly amazing and awesome it beggars the mind why George Lucas and Disney didn't use it for real in a "Special, special Edition" of Star Wars Episode 4! It so brilliant what can be done with Special effects and CGI these days!! Lucasfilm and Disney should seriously watch this!!!
This was creative re imagined masterpiece...nuff said
The Sith are willing to do absolutely do anything to get more powerful and kill what they hate. Even punching and using the force or anything will allow them to reach their goal.
It's still impossible to find out that the more Vader got angrier, the more Ben Kenobi kept his cool
2.5 years just for these few minutes total perfection. When I watched this the day it came out it honestly felt like I was watching A New Hope for the first time. First Shards of the past and now this, The Year of Vader is now complete. However, Vader in episode 9 would be the cherry on top. I hope they do a few more of these though, maybe at least two more.
This is "Revenge of the Sith' quality. Now, add this into the original movie in place of the old, boring duel.
2:48-Darth Vader is on fire!
This Fight is AWESOME!!!!
You can definitely see a lot of Aniken’s style
i love when you get shock open mouth haha.. nice reaction!
The last thing Obi-Wan saw was Padme's children reunited.
i saw the wire of ligthsaber from kanobiXD
AT1.46 like u reaction make more
Yesss I've been waiting for you to upload this!
Actually forget what I said in my first comment on your Shards of the Past reaction. Hopping back in my time machine to comment to past you, you're gonna need flip flops or become a barefooter after this, because its sheer level of awesome will incinerate all your socks and future socks.
Not just the action, but the emotion that this edit adds to the fight... I don't see Episode VII, Solo, or Episode VIII as canon, but _this_ I do.
Rip my friend obi Wan excellent master
It's cacon to me too. It's just stuff we didn't see because at "the same time" Luke, leia, Han & Chewbacca were running a different path.
...the original movie cut ""just couldn't show us - and especially couldn't have the character calls or screams fromVader and Obi Wan's past because they hadn't shot those movies yet.
Besides the glass tubes used for them to light up the first light sabers would have shattered the very first delicate tap leaving them trying to have a sword fight with stings of red or blue Christmas lights, which would NOT have looked impressive.
So, this is how the fight"always was [grin], we were just waiting for special effects and stories of the previous stories to have been made, so we could understand the context.
ANGER IS TRUEST SOURCE OF POWER FOR A SITH
6:26 YES!!!!!
Wow, Why didn’t I get a notification? 😐
Edit: Now the reaction circle is now complete lol Great Reaction Jenn 🤘🏽
You should really try and watch "Dark Resurrection" - nov vol. 0 and 1 exist. This is a true masterpiece made by Italian fans. From all the fan films I've watched this is the best IMHO
Obi-Wan got the moves like jagger in this
I feel that the original scene was good for what it was meant to be, an old guy who was past his prime fighting a guy who was "more machine than man" who's mobility was limited. At the time the original was released we had no real context beyond that and it's really not a bad sword fight.
As far as sc 38 re-imagined, we have a totally different context about our main 2 players. They have a VERY extensive history, both feel hurt and betrayed by the other. Obi Wan, while being 20-30 years older was far from being past his prime. Vader was able to push past his limitations to become a truly relentless force fueled by hate and anger and MAN did it show!!!
