    The Best Explanation I have seen for this Tractor Mower. Thank you for going into detail unlike some other videos didn't. 😉My daughter sent me one and they delivered it a foot away from my front door so I wouldn't miss it and the first thing I thought was ok maybe no gas so I get to move it manually and I found the metal pin to make sure it was out to push it and you are the only on that showed how that works! You also show in depth how to use the reverse option and explained the arm turns on and off the blades even though they use other words or codes to explain things in the book on in the pictures on the machine. Good Job! 😊

    Great video. I just purchased one of these and I’m picking it up on Tuesday. Quick question. I currently disconnect the battery on my Troy built after every use so the battery doesn’t drain. The tractor gets used at least twice a month, is it best to continue disconnecting the battery on this tractor as well?

    • @JohnsonsSmallEngines
      @JohnsonsSmallEngines  2 года назад +2

      The battery should not be drawing voltage when the ignition key is in the off position. You should not need to disconnect it.

    Bless your heart, I was about to call my box store to come get this mower! For the life of me I couldn't figure out why the forward pedal wouldn't do anything. Why is there a transmission cut off for pushing? Sorry, not mechanically inclined lol

    • @JohnsonsSmallEngines
      @JohnsonsSmallEngines  2 года назад +1

      I’m glad you figured it out. The reason why the transmission cut is just how I explained it in the video. When you need to push the tractor, you must pull the rod out in the back of the transmission so you do not ruin the transmission. You just need to remember to push the rod back in or just as you found out, the forward/reverse pedals will not work.

    Just bought a S120. I have 3 hrs. on it. Why does it blow white smoke when I start it? Oil level is fine, doesn't do it while operating, ONLY on start up. Dealer told me to watch it until 15-20 hrs. as it's assembly lube from the factory and needs to burn off. What do you think?

    • @JohnsonsSmallEngines
      @JohnsonsSmallEngines  2 года назад

      My opinion, It should not blow white smoke when machine is new. Something internal is wrong with engine. You need to have have it repaired or replaced.

    I just bought this mower. I really thought it sounds rough when I engage the blades. Feels rough too. My last mower didn't rattle and shake so bad. Your mower sounds the same. Is this normal? I was thinking of returning it...

    • @JohnsonsSmallEngines
      @JohnsonsSmallEngines  2 года назад +1

      Make sure your running the engine at full speed to keep the vibrations down to a minimum. The S110 is the cheapest John Deere they make at this time and it is the quality of the same priced Craftsman. If your thinking of returning it? I have been working on all makes and models for over 30 years and In my opinion, I would put that money into the John Deere X300 series and you will be much happier! The X300 series are what call the start of the good John Deere tractors. I do not recommend purchasing any of the Cub Cadet line of machines because they are owned by the biggest manufacturer of lower end equipment in the world (MTD). Again this is only my opinion.
