I love this! 50 years ago, before there were shrink plastic sheets, we used the clear plastic lids that came on chicken liver containers from the grocery store - the butchers just gave them to us until they got so popular for shrinking that they'd run out of lids for the chicken livers, then they started selling the lids and limiting how many could be had at one time. We colored them with tubes of embroidery paint or magic markers and cut them out with scissors. We put the cut-out pieces into the oven on cookie sheets to shrink - they came out flat, and I had no imagination for making them dimensional. I made buttons and earring dangles. Craft manufacturers finally started producing the shrink sheets. It's fun to see this level of crafting with the shrink sheets! Thanks! 🥰
Fyi I do have some shrink plastic. It sounds like fun to get it out and have a play with it!!! I used to play with it with my kids! Nowadays I can do it with my granddaughters and great granddaughters!!! Looking forward to it💜💜💜💜💜
LOVE this video Gi. I had forgotten about the shrink plastic I have in a drawer here .. somewhere, in my craft room, but you've woken me up to using it again. Great project for today, I think! Thank you Gi. Sending love ~ Cobs. x
Wow Gi, you are SO inventive. I can always rely on you to give me lovely new ideas. Thank you so much, you are very generous with your time and superb tutorials. These are gorgeous. I have to give it a try. I recently ordered uv resin from eBay and didn't realise it was coming from China. It took 2 months to get to me in the UK, and I went to use it last week, but the bloomin' stuff won't cure! It's so frustrating. I've had to order some more expensive uv resin from Amazon, so I'm waiting for that to come now. I can't wait to get started. Thanks again Gi. Take care, and have a lovely weekend, xx
Gi I love these. So simple and they add so much to whatever you want to use them for. Gorgeous . I hope you have the shrink paper listed on your Amazon. I have to get some. TYFS another great project. 🤗💕🤗
They look to have some considerable thickness to them after shrinking. Is that the case or is it a trick of the camera? In any case, they are GORGEOUS! Great video.
Gi I really wish their was another way I could purchase your kits. Sadly Etsy doesn't take my card and my card doesn't work with PayPal. If you ever decide to get a web address then I would most definitely purchase your kits.
Thank you, there is a link to my Amazon Storefront under the video. I could not find the one I was using but added an alternative. So you can see what you are looking for. Hugs Gi x
You could really have brought your made goodies up to the camera because all you made was, it seemed, a little bit too far away to see what you were referring to. Gorgeous flowers from what i could see though. Ive saved this video.❤

Beautiful! Where does one find that thick black foam and that rolls ball tool?
Hello~I couldn't find the US link to the chalks you used to color the shrink plastic.
TFS,
Sara
Thank you!
Thank you! What is the resin you use?
Probably a dumb question but is there another way to cut into shapes? And can it be colored with gel pens?
