I've read the Road by McCarthy when I was still in high school and it left a strong impression on me. I've yet to read another book by him, at one point I was thinking about picking up his Border trilogy, but I always put it off.

...or The Evening Redness in the West.
You have to figure out who “The Judge” is...what* the judge is... That’s the point. You’re just along for the ride with the kid.
    You should finish it.
Note also: Judge Holden, Holden Caulfield, Capt James Holden, and then Ousters:Belters and the “Canterbury” (tales). They all share genes.

Please review The Wise Man's Fear! My thoughts on Name of the Wind were probably the same as yours, so I'd love to see what you think of this second one. All of me wonders where Rothfuss is going to go with Doors of Stone, and one part knows it's obvious where he's going, and the other part feels like that's way too obvious & he'll probably pull a 180 and surprise us all.

I can do that! You're probably right, I bet he's calculating each route the book can take and will draw us in with something obvious then go nuts

Have you considered reading *12 Rules for Life* by Jordan Peterson? I'd be interested in a younger person's view. Also did you ever finish the Wheel of Time series?

Never even heard of it! I'll look it up. And nope I sure didn't, I was so into it, took a brief break then realized I was pushing myself through it and not liking it anymore. Everything that happened after book 4/5/6 all stuck together, the characters seemed to stagnate and I just....eh. I do love Brandon Sanderson and never got to his part so there is still a part of me that wants to finish it.

That's awesome that you love Blade Runner. Definitely one of my all-time favorite films. You said you liked the aesthetic...do you mean the cyberpunk genre, or Blade Runner's own unique style. If the former, I'd suggest you read Neuromancer by William Gibson and/or Snow Crash by Neal Stephenson. Both are great, my personal favorite is Snow Crash - one of the most unique novels I've ever read, from a both a topic and literary style perspective!

It has such a cool aesthetic I just love it. I love the cyberpunk style but also the style of the blade runner movie itself. Parts of the plot are kinda eh but overall, it's so cool. I love Neuromancer, it's one of my favorites! I've been thinking of making a review on that actually. I've heard of Snow Crash but still haven't read it. I'll get on it!

@@acatonasnowboard21 That's awesome you've read Neuromancer it's great. Neal Stephenson, the guy who wrote Snow Crash is pretty cool, but often a little hard to get into. He's likes to info-dump sometimes, which is a little hard to get through, but his characters and prose pay off. Great video btw. Hope you keep making book vids!

Beautiful hair. Noticed it even before the buffering finished.
I SO agree on The Things They Carried. Great book and I too need to re-read that one soon.
PKD that book is good. I have seen neither movie because I am afraid they won't live up, so I just re-read when I want more.
Sorry, I can't comment on the bonus book. I have yet to complete a book of his. Just not my guy I guess.
Always good to see one of your videos. This one being about books make me more happy. Oh and 100 Years ... I am just not that brave to even start that!
