Damn! This is hands down one of the best demos you’ve put out. It’s amazing the number of different sounds that come out of that little box. The clean tones of the guitar are absolutely beautiful and just enhance what that pedal can do.
Loved the live looping session - I think the world needs regular JLJ live looping posts. As far as the question, I’m both at different times. I love the simplicity of just a touch of spring reverb, killer fuzz to live in the world of blues rock, but I also love super spacey delays, thick modulation and tweaking to no end.
Awesome demo Jay. Killer loop - I swear David Gilmour stepped in when you turned on the overdrive and soloed. Just beautiful. I am kind of split equally on old school and new depending on my moods.
For rhythm guitar parts I like the small tube combo sound with just a shade of overdrive, but for wailing and shredding I like the Jeff Beck sound. I haven't had much experience with tools like the Hologram, and if I got one I'd probably enjoy myself too much and never get anything else done. But a single guitar player could certainly entertain a crowd with that thing alone.
Jay, you're a terrible human! You make everything sound so good!! Really hard to resist buying everything you demo hahaha Tbh, every demo I've heard of this sounds amazing. I may eventually have to get one if I can kick some items off my big board.
Yeah, I love how everyone gets their own unique tones from this pedal as well... It's really good at being crazy, yet still reflecting the player behind the guitar.
Amazing PLAYING, CREATING and DEMO of the Microcosm! It is one of my favourite pedals and I’m still just scratching the surface! Thank You for using each effect bank/algorithm in a way that highlights the uses in song writing! A hugely POSITIVE and INSPIRING demo. One of the best demos of the Microcosm the I’ve heard. If I didn’t own one already -I’d have ordered one tonight 😉. Thank You for all the effort you put into making this video, some people struggle due to being overwhelmed with the complexity but all they need to hear is great song writing and tones that have been crafted and improved by the effect in question. You nailed it.
Thanks for that demo, it was awesome ! I'm definitely in the explorer category, I own the microcosm and various other glitchy /weird stuff. I do a lot of experimenting at home but I also play in a more straightforward funk/rock band. I built a smaller and more to the point pedalboard for that band but after a while I couldn't help expending and adding some weird stuff to it !
This thing is just amazing and very inspiring. I'm sure it'll cure your writersblock within minutes of experimenting with it. I'm an old school guy who's always searching for new stuff like this that can take me on a journey, similar to the ones I had when I was a young teen, listening to Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd and King Crimson and stuff like that. ❤️
Man … I’ve got mine Tuesday but what you were able to take out of that pedal is amazing. Hands down the best and informative demo. It will helps me a lot. How did you plug it? Guitar - microcosm - amp ?
That's one awesome wacky pedal ❗ If that pedal was a dinosaur 🦖 it would be awesomewackysauris. It's funny, when I was younger I was all about coming up with new crazy sounds but these days it's all about vintage tone.
You did wizardly with this beauty. I know you are just talented but I'm curious, how many hours did you invested in this little beast to come up with such an amazing demo. What other gear did you used other than the Microcosm? Honestly I was listening on the background without watching the video but all you were doing was really cool sounding, but that moment where you started soloing made me drop what I was doing and had to look! truly amazing sound, someone said David Gilmour stepped in, but I'd say this makes him jealous and would be like Gilmour Re-loaded (not resurrected, because we all know how that turned out for the matrix LOL). Terrific job! you really inspired me to pick up my Microcosm and emulate what you did here to understand it deeper. It's gonna be a fun night!
Ho-lee $hit! That looper jam at the end was the best thing I’ve heard in a long time! Love me some experimental guitar sounds when done well. Unfortunately this pedal is $800+ CAD. Rather add some more dollars and get an amp.
Berlin and lockdowns forced to play with headphones. So im a ex amp guy anf modeling hater. Love my hx stomp, for far out effects: gasing hard for the microcosm it is difficult to get in germany, had similar results using the slice looper and glitch/ pitch delay in the stomp. Quite nice. Maybe make a vid on how to replicate microcosm with hx stomp. Sell some preset. I'd buy it. Whatya think?
Best rhythm hand in the game
Excellent demo... this is pretty close to how I envision using it. Props!

Thanks so much... This was a crazy fun one to make. Glad you dug it!
Hands down, the best demo of this pedal on RUclips.
Thanks so much! It was a blast to make this one :)

I know, I feel like I should be looping a LOT more in the future..
@@JayLeonardJ Seems like a great day for more loops :)

Thanks so much man!
Absolute BEST demo of this pedal. Best. Best. Your love and passion for guitar actually broke this stallion of a pedal! That was insane
You did a really great job on this, keep up the excellent work.
Really appreciate it :)

Just when I convinced myself I don't need this... JLJ blows my mind!
Thanks so much! That was one of my early vids and I have so many funny memories about making this one in particular :)

Mind blowing! Waiting on mine being delivered, even more excited than I was lol
Great explanation of this pedal; I really like it, and nice track at the end!
Thanks so much!

Best video on this device
Thanks!
Already knew this pedal.. it is something else..amazing
THE BEST DEMO 👌.
I can't wait to go home & test out these settings!!
YES!!! Hope they unlock some cool adventures for you :)
@@JayLeonardJ thank you bro, and many blessings!

You are right, definitely a great cure for when that Writer's Block hits!
Do I need this? No. Will I get one? Yes. LOL.
Haha!

How did you plug it? Guitar - microcosm - amp ?
Yes, the only extra pedal is a Sona Fuzz which I added at the VERY end at the guitar solo part of my loop.
its like an eventide with more knobs and a randomizer.
The pedal is cool but I still wanna get one of those Navigators! Such a rad guitar

I really appreciate it! FYI all the sounds come from just the Microcosm (until I step on the Fuzz pedal at the very end).
This pedal is complicated ... J.L.J. : "hold my beer" !
Haha, thanks :)
So cool
