    • @jellah22
      @jellah22 11 месяцев назад +6

      everything over medium get 90+ stats at least in cmb and 77pray (rigour + augury) to comfortably learn it. once you have that the only other thing holding you back will be gear. everything under medium, like there is not really anything challenging about it.
      Ofcourse there are some exceptions like chambers of xeric where you add 78 or 90 herblore. Mining, woodcutting, thieving, agility & farming 70+ ish but these you should just look up when about to approach activities for the first time.
      Something that isn't on this list and something i will always regard as one of the best ways to learn pray flicks, paying attention and gear switching are demonic gorilla's imo these monsters are the perfect pvm activity to introduce you to everything thats to come.
      Zulrah after these and you have a very good basic understanding of pvm. (recommended stats would be same as mentioned above)

    Started learning PvM earlier this year after several years away with all my experience being on a HCIM. Up To hard tier on your list having just finished the frozen key for GWD the other week. Was really surprised by how broken blood fury is on things like General Graardor and other melee bosses. While it doesn't cover all food, it does cover enough to really trivialize chip damage.

    I love the video and the effort you put in great work! :) I would argue however that the Dagannoth Kings are harder than the fight caves and kq, as you have to worry about constant dps checks other wise it forces players to player flick (or just tank a lot of damage), which is stuff you don't really need to worry about in the fight caves or at kq.

    • @AhuizotlXiuh
      @AhuizotlXiuh 11 месяцев назад

      Yeah with good planning and knowledge fight cave is pretty easy. You can basically pre-solve every wave to safespot most enemies and minimize prayer consumption. There's definitely plenty of content that gives me more trouble than that.

  • @MythrilZenith
    @MythrilZenith 11 месяцев назад +5

    I personally find the Guardians a lot closer to the Medium bosses, as their mechanics are quite straightforward, nothing is tick-perfect, and if you fail a mechanic you're only going to be taking up to 36 damage unless you get comboed by falling debris. Definitely easier than the GWD bosses at the very least. I think your personal distaste for them is the only thing putting them up in Hard.
    Just coming into bossing, of the ones I've killed solo ToB Entry was a lot of fun, with bandages and respawns making it overall a lot less punishing than other things.
    RSN Royal Mythos

  • @delaxes
    @delaxes 11 месяцев назад +18

    Personally I think TOA solo entry should be way way earlier on the list. The biggest issue with alot of the more difficult bosses is the amount of resources you have to go through learning the fight. TOA entry is basically completely free to learn due to the food / prayer item you get if you die, the free supplies you get after every second boss and the fact you spawn right next to the boss so you can instantly try again.
    Speaking of which, I barely touched Zulrah until I got to 76 agility and only have been able to kill it with the "cheese strat", just using mage and avoiding fighting the tanz phase because of the absurd amount of damage and thus supplies I have to go through during those phases even if im praying correctly. Same goes for the kalphite queen, takes forever to get to and requires a ridiculous amount of supplies just to learn the fight. Personally I wouldnt put entry TOA above medium tier because its very easy to learn and even when you start to add evocations, doesnt have a huge amount of risk.

    upcoming update possibilities is that there will be 2 short cuts for the dag kings
    Changelog March 27th:
    Next up, shortcuts:
    There were concerns that removing Diary requirements for some shortcuts will make Achievement Diaries less rewarding. Regardless, we’re sticking to this change - the reward space is going to move to the skill itself, making it less dependent on other content and therefore more rewarding to train.
    We've picked out a handful of extra shortcuts (or more specifics) that we'd like to include, and we're still on the lookout for more
    66 Agility - Taverly Wall shortcut next to Tree Farming patch
    71 Agility - Pollnivneach Stepping stone shortcut to Nardah
    72 Agility - Barrows Wall jump shortcut on the west side
    79 Agility - North Shilo village shortcut, between the trees at the eastern corner
    81 Agility - Dagannoth Kings tunnel in the first 'Giant Rock Crab' room on the far wall
    82 Agility - Asgarnia Ice Dungeon shortcut from ladder into Skeletal Wyvern area
    84 Agility - Crandor Rock climb shortcut on the south side of the island's peak
    85 Agility - Waterbith Island rock climb south of the Lunar spellbook teleport location, skips thrownaxe + pet rock section
    96 Agility - Viyeldi Caves shortcut from the main room (with the fire pentagram) closer to the relevant Clue step.

    Back from a previous comment to confirm that it *was* that all the bosses in OSRS I struggled with (which was most of them) was due to requiring mastery of skills I had no idea existed. OSRS is a tick-based rhythm game that is all but impossible to learn without Runelite plugins like true tile movement, npc highlights, and tick metronomes. It turned out *everything* I had been doing wrong for years was due to not knowing about this. Why were attacks hitting me when I had my prayer up? Ticks. Why were bombs killing me that my player model wasn't standing under? Ticks.
    I'm revisiting the video now having managed to learn Rat King, Calvar'ion, Duke, Phantom Muspah, and even Vardorvis to see where I should go from here.

    People really underestimate how hard the regular Gauntlet is. I understand that it's nothing compared to CG, but that's simply because CG is so incredibly difficult. Regular Gauntlet is still far harder than anything else you've put in hard tier and harder than most of the stuff in expert tier. What other boss forces you to focus on defensive prayer switching, offensive switching, movement from tornados and movement from tiles at the same time? Also he can disable your prayer. It's an extremely overwhelming boss and even regular Hunleff can hit 40s on you if you're not careful.
    CG is one of the hardest pieces of content in the game. It's just that so many people are good at it because it's a mandatory grind for ironmen, so you don't have a choice.

    Great video, thanks Kaoz! Will def send this to a few clan mates. However, while "The Leviathan" is definitely tough to learn, I think it is by far the easiest DT2 boss after 100 kills. I will reply to this comment with my Tile Markers. But, long story short, you can manipulate the 'Orb' spawn. And once you know your average DPS, you can easily script the fight to ensure you always start the Enraged Phase standing inside of the 'Orb's' damage-boosting radius. This reduces silly deaths to near-zero and makes it about 15x easier than "Vardorvis" and any other DT2 boss!

      My gear is: Full Crystal, BowFa, Anguish, Assembler, Archer's Ring, & Barrows Gloves. I don't use Lightbearer because 90% of the time, you only need 2-'BowFa' hits then the 'Webweaver' ult to finish. Just follow the numbered tiles and shadow spell when the next number is behind 'Levi'.

    @MegaChickenfish 11 месяцев назад

    Definitely a very useful guide. Seems like I could get a lot of pvm practice on what I suck at on the wildy bosses but I have no faith in my ability to survive PKers. There's a whole bunch on here well below Vorkath, which I found relatively easy, that I've almost never killed successfully, which indicates either they require mastery of skills I don't even know exist, or I'm just flat out doing them wrong. Vorkath, for having a lot of mechanics, never requires you to do more than one of them at once, and does them very consistently with plenty of time to react. I'd compare them to a GWD2 RS3 boss like Helwyr. It's a nigh impossible jump for me from it to Zulrah, which instead relies entirely on you memorizing things and reacting to them *before* they are telegraphed, in a way that is *not* consistent (instead relying on randomized rotations, which is even harder to keep track of). Phantom Muspah doesn't require mind reading but it does require a TON of multitasking compared to Vorkath, at times having to do tick perfect managing of my health, prayer, movement, and gear switching at the exact same time as the boss ramps up exponentially in difficulty as it progresses.

    • @icedo1013
      @icedo1013 11 месяцев назад

      Zulrah's "randomness" is confined within the 25% chance to land on any of the four preset rotations and which attack he uses in his Tanzanite phase. I might have a skewed perspective because Zulrah was my first PvM experience past Bryo and Obor, but the plugin certainly helped keep track of things to the point where the rotations feel familiar and I use the plugin less actively.

    Love the content, though currently farming CG on the ironman and the music you used is bringing me back to the red prison.

    My favorite boss is probably Grotesque Guardians. I haven’t done too many of the big boy bosses. I’m hunting the pet on my way to untrimmed Slayer cape. My dream is have each of the slayer pets, each of the slayer helms, and of course the untrimmed slayer cape! Thanks for all the help throughout the years! RSN: Tezi Bear

    Skotizo is my favorite, but I honestly couldn't tell you why. He's just a big, easy, goofy bub, but I love his guaranteed hard clue drop. Now if only I could get that pet. (I'm also double dry on his dark claw - RIP purple helm) RSN - DanteAlighi

    Ive not long got in to actual bossing, by which i dont mean barrows, im not overly great at the mechanics, but im happy i can do vorkath pretty chill now without any worry. Plus my levels and gear set up for him aren't even high budget. Basically if i can kill vorkath, anyone can XD
