Hi Stuart, thanks for making a video on this topic and trying to find an answer. I do not know why the industry is so screwed up with this. I have met so many people mixing product and project (without even getting started with Risk and Issues, or what PLM is). As good PM (which one ahahah), there are rolse and responsibilities matrices and consequently the role of a Product Manager and Project Manager are clearly defined. Have you tried to draw an organisational chart showing the position of a Product Manager and the Project Manager. This will help in understanding the difference in my point of view.
Another food for thoughts. PLM and Project Management. Some say they have nothing to do with each other, while some say that project management is part of PLM and rightly so ;) . WHat's your take?
Thank you for your time and efforts in putting those videos together and trying to educate the industry.

You're welcome, and thank you for the kind feedback - I appreciate it. I agree that project management can be a part (possibly a repeating part) of PLM. I think the first step to improving understanding is just for people to understand that there are two distinctly different disciplines at work, which just happen to sound a little similar - but are different. And you may not need to know lots about them, just accepting that they are different will be a helpful start.
