Not "just that good"...WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY better. In his racing he's somewhat like Lewis, but his "leave nothing out there" is a level that even peak Lewis can't even have dreamt of. Nor Schumi, nor Senna...you need to go further back in time to find someone.

I dare to say in the 38 years I'm following F1 now, going to Grand Prix's all over the world, Being a Ferrari fan ( have mercy on me) Max Verstappen is the best driver I have ever witnessed. I have not seen any driver dominate F1 like Max is doing. Of course I can't say what Ayrton would have achieved cause he died unfortunately but Max Verstappen has got it all. The raw speed is just insane. I can understand that people find dominated era's boring but all I can say is: that I am freaking happy to witness the Max Verstappen era. He ain't just carrying RB but also F1 in general. How can you not like that? Cheers:)

Senna was not only matched by Prost, but also already surpassed by Schumacher. This is Schumacher like, taking a car into a WDC fight where it wouldn't be with any other driver. But it's more impressive because the whole grid has progressed and gotten closer over the past 3 decades. There is less difference to make available.

Hey there, I can completely agree on this. 51 years young and watched the era’s of Prost, Mansell and Senna and after that, the Schumi era, before Alonso, Hamilton and Vettel dominating the f1 circuits. And yes, IMHO, Verstappen is the best driver I ever saw in F1. More ruthless than Senna, more dominating than Schumi, more calculated than Prost, more faultless than Lewis. This guy is truly something else

I’m sure if simulators were on today’s level back in Schumi’s time, he’d use that as a tool in the same way Max is doing today and the dominance would be even greater than it was.

Max is a generational talent and a great driver, but people are going overboard by using Perez as a measuring stick. Fangio, Clark, Stewart, Prost,Lauda, Senna, Alonso and Hamilton have had drivers who were or became WDC's and with Perez signed to a two year contract Max will not have any competition in the best car in F1. Checo is a horrible second driver.

Cameron, stop listening to absolute muppets like Peter Windsor. At no point Red Bull stopped to be the fastest car. The fact that Christian Horner is cunning and is managing the margin the margin they are winning with to avoid flack and sudden rule change like 2020 to 2021 for example.
If washed up Perez ( was never a particularly strong qualifyer) is your point of reference then I got a bridge to sell you.
What happens with the hype and praises of RB car, or all of a sudden, the rest bridged 1 second gap?
The fact is Red Bull can win the championship with last year car and if they turn down the engine of this year car it would still be very close as it is.
They got the lead and can comfortably do that, also making it a bit more exciting for Max.

Not even Senna was that constant in his period. More and more people are getting aware of it. Put Max in 'silver' right now and he will compete with McLaren right away....! I hope today everyone saw that Max can be beaten and that he's the sorest looser ever. He broke so many rules defending that position from Norris it isn't even funny. FIA stayed silent like a little *****. But Norris took mathers into his own hands, sure it cost him more than Max, but somebody had to show Max that this isn't FMax, this is F1 and everybody has as much right on that win as you do buddy. I will never understand how can people support a driver with a personality like that, it's disgusting. Thank you.

MAX IS THE CAR WHISPERER! Even a bad car can comes alive when he drives in it. Look back at the time with a mediocre red bull, before’21…he still won races or ended up in the top 5

We were all lead to believe that Max is without a doubt the best driver to Grace his presence in F1. But after the Austrian Gran Prix he showed us that he is amazing when he has the Fastest car. When the fight is on, he just cant hang. Same old Max, if you cant beat em, Crash em. 🤦‍♂️

In all my years of watching F1 since 2005. Being dutch.. i always hoped with my father to see 1 time a dutch man to become a race winner.
This man.. Max is the fastest driver i have ever seen! I always watched F1 with my father. Hopeing to 1 day see a dutch race winner let alone be a champion. In 2011 my dad passed away.. and could never witness Max with me.. i am forever greatful that i got to witness this.. this unbelievable drive. I would almost say it's gods work what he is doing behind the wheel. It is beatiful to see Max. And i'd like to imagine that my father in heaven is looking at me right now with a smile. Witnessing what we could not do together. But i had that chance.

The greats all bring a new standard of dedication to the table. The Michael did it with rigorous physical training regimes and spending loads of time with the engineers. Max does it by spending his time in the sim, not only for himself but also by helping teammates find better set-ups, and by toying with the rules ever so slightly to the point the FIA keeps having to either clarify or modify them. The kids in F3 and F2 are probably all running for a go in the sim as we speak. As for Top Gear, still miss it, that was such a great show. Just imagine Max in the F1 star segment, he would have raced the sh*t out of that Liana, no doubt about it.

Max is absolute the best driver of this era thus far. However, humans have a tendency to overemphasise recent events vs those of the past. There have been many great drivers in F1; Max is but one off them.

He was doing powerslide stuff with a champion in that area for a RB video and he picked it up really quick so i have no doubt he would do well in frictionless racing as well. Give the man a vehicle that has four wheels and a steering wheel and he'll be up to speed after of day of playing around with it, maybe even in half a day. Heck, he might be fast on two wheels as well if they'd ever let him, he's just born to go fast.

What do you make of the lap deletion of Piastri? I agree fully with the guy, he took that corner so sharp that on more mm and it would have been gravel. That should be commended like going 1mm by or even kissing a Monaco wall. What does the FIA do? [delete]. Come on!

It's like watching a Messi in his glory days :-) hey and again it took you a long time because I have enjoyed almost every race in which Max Verstappen participated since 2018! The man provided a spectacle in every race, whether it was positive or negative. He single-handedly provided the surprises during Mercedes' heyday. I watched every race with excitement to see what that guy was going to do this race. Have you seen Peter's analysis of the third sector T7-T8, the only driver in 7th gear. I am grateful for these kinds of exceptional phenomena and they never bore me for a moment and how fun or idiotic they are after the race..I don't care!

All the Max hatters and Hamilton fanboys need to start giving Verstappen his flowers. The man is a machine......a cyborg. People been looking for every excuse in the world to give all the credit to everyone, and everything, but Max for all this dominance. Adrian and his sketch pad can't go out there and drive the car.....he's not this genius that everyone thinks he is, just because the Red Bull didn't suffer porpusing. He was around the last time ground effect cars were a thing, so he knew to look out for this problem. Max us making his teammate, who's no slouch, look slow, and he's even making two McLaren drivers, who have a faster over all car even look slow and lacking talent. As for Lewis Hamilton, his fanboys need to give it up. He's going to be lucky if he wins another race, none the less another championship. He will live till regret leaving Mercedes, and going to Ferrari.....Ferrari can't get out of their own way and are quickly regressing. Also Lewis will struggle to keep up with Leclerc, seeing how that team and car is built around him. Hell, Lewis is struggling to keep up with George, and you know darn well Charles is quicker then George.

That’s my prediction 👍
