I finally see some lions in the Kgalagadi! | Episode 3/6

In this episode, I head from Twee Rivieren up to Mata Mata rest camp along the Auob riverbed and actually see my first lions of Kgalagadi Trip 2023 at 14th Borehole. It was an adult male and female, and I actually join them again later that day after setting up my camp.
Even though I wasn't lucky enough to see the females small cubs, which I knew she had because of her suckle marks, I do see lion cubs at camp when two other females bring them down to drink at Mata Mata's waterhole.
I also spend a cool, rainy morning at Craig Lockhardt waterhole, as well as a lovely afternoon in camp enjoying all the small creatures like birds, meerkats, squirrels and mongooses.

@@Leeuwner93, thanks 🙏🏻 September is mild in the Kgalagadi - not too hot and not too cold, although, take some warm clothes with for in case! I easily ran 5-6km in camp (1km loops)
We have 10 nights at Mata Mata in May after our 10 nights at Rooiputs . We have a camping Trailer best for not loosing your campsite the next day
