I’m reading Kenneth Gross’s Puppet an essay on uncanny life. He mentions Francois Truffault’s 1959 film ‘The 400 blows’ (about ‘wounded childhood’) that it contains ‘a stunning few minutes of footage showing the faces of an audience of young French children watching a puppet show of Red Riding Hood, each face distinct yet part of a unified sea of wonder. They are wildly absorbed by what they see, crying out warnings (“Le loup! Le loup!”) elated even by their fear for the puppet heroine set upon by a puppet wolf.’ (Pg 3)
this scene has the same charm as ferris bueller's day off art gallery scene while please please please let me get what i want by dream academy is playing ❤ and no one and nothing will ever change my mind
One of the most beautiful scenes in all of cinema!

This is really one of the most wonderful and human scenes I can think of from any film. This is one of my favorite classics, as well
