    Have you tried with the pocket rocket? To know if it fits.

    • @NoviceWildCamper

      @brunoanzanellostifelman8443 no not personally. If the arms align directly with the centre of the stove then it will fit.

    Hiya mate, another great review. Looks like a belter of a set up, Gez tore me a new one for using jetboil gas 🤷‍♂️😂😂

      Cheers alan. I couldn't get any other gas at the time. Seems hard to find others. I normally get cheap stuff from the range but they've stopped selling it for some reason 🙄😂

    Firemaple blitzing RUclips with this pot.
    I have one, it’s good apart from the tight lid syndrome.
    Works very well with a SOTO Windmaster fitted with a triflex pot holder.

      Yeah I've seen that used. Decent set up though 👍

    Absolutely love the pot but for the stove I'd go for Soto Windmaster with Trifex.

  • @BoxTunnel

    With my A Level physics head on, perhaps it is the plastic lid expanding into the pot which is causing the tight fit rather than the pot contracting? However, the physics exam was 35 years ago and I only got a grade E!
    There are a lot of great alternatives to Jetboil stoves out there for a fraction of the price. I picked up the OEX Heiro a few months ago for forty quid and I really can't see what a Jetboil does better, but I've never used one so pehaps it massages my aching feet whilst boiling water for my cuppa!

    • @NoviceWildCamper
      @NoviceWildCamper  4 месяца назад +2

      🤣 yeah didn't think about the plastic expanding. You may be right, school wasn't my thing in general let alone physics. And if I remember rightly the Jetboil gives you a full shiatsu massage after each hike. 👍 worth the extra I'd say.

    Pocket Rocket 2 will just about fit. It’s slightly out of alignment but will squeeze on. Fits my Svea 123R perfectly though and reduces boil times by 30%. That’s a 30% fuel saving each time I do a brew.
    👍

    • @NoviceWildCamper
      @NoviceWildCamper  2 месяца назад +2

      @HardyBunster it's a really decent design isn't it 👌

  • @charlesechols6354
    @charlesechols6354 4 месяца назад +4

    Metal does expand when heated. It expands in 3 dimensions. Therefore, the inside diameter becomes smaller while the outside diameter becomes larger.

    • @charlesechols6354
      @charlesechols6354 4 месяца назад +3

      Also, the plastic does the same. Making the lid stick on, this is a safety feature. May not have been intended, but it does make pouring boiling water on one's self more difficult.

      @coachhannah2403 in all honesty their gear is as good if not better than the more we'll known brands. They also think outside the box like this pot. Simple change that makes a massive difference. I have a lot of their gear and only one piece I felt was below par.

      I like watching gear videos, even though I bought most of the stuff I'll need for the rest of my life (spending a bunch of the money I saved over my first 40 years when I pinched pennies). I'm more into fabricating gear enhancements, then improving/correcting them once out in the field!

    I have the pot, sent for another BRS 3000 in order to bend the pot support part of the arms, to set them RADIALLY (from TANGENTIALLY) works a treat, after twerking the fins clear of the base slots.
    This Fire Maple pot fits on Svea 123r nicely too.
    Could not resist a Wild Sea Camping stove that had a Tri Flex clipon pot stand, ala Soto WindMaster.
    There is a BRS 61 Jet Boil £16.69 inc of tax AliExpress, Great, quiet, pretty neat, very fast (although no hurry). Seems to be the same burner as the Primus Lite XL, but no screw in pot supports (will make my own) for alternative non heat exchange pots.
    Well worth buying.
    Thanks for sharing
