😆 "I don't need a chronograph." -None of us needs any of these watches when you can spend $15 USD on a Casio, but we 'want' these timepieces.
@@GhostSubstituteWell I don't have a phond, nor 6000 pounds, so a $15 Casio it is.
I love it. I am so glad Breitling is becoming a respectable watch brand again. The new watches are just stunning.
This is the most beautiful watch in Breitling’s current line up, all 3 versions are beautiful, but this pistachio, and the salmon dial are simply spectacular.
couldn't agree more. Its mesmerizing
Breitling are making some very interesting pieces at the moment. I bought the SuperOcean 57 last month and absolutely love it. You did hate on it in a video last year without having seen it in person, but I’ll forgive you. 😉
Love the breitling.
Interesting to see you say the caseback is similar in quality to the seamaster diver 300. The finishing might be similar but the breitling looks so much more complex and interesting.
The fact that Breitling is coming back to it's root, tho with homage pieces is much more exciting than what it used to do. Great video as always!
That's one beautiful watch - love the pistachio dial
Maybe someone will break one so you can restore it!! Your channel is incredible, I love watching your restoration videos.
@@Gorrila_Man92 that would be great 😁 thanks 😉
Like your channel.
I love your videos - great format and very relaxing. Please Keep it up RDR!
I love that it doesn’t have a date, that always seems like too much on a chronograph.
Adrian, thank you for the review. I was finally able to get this watch. Apparently it is in high demand. I personally love the vintage pistachio dial. I constantly get asked about showing this watch. People think it is really cool. It’s a beautiful timepiece!
The watch looks amazing. When I first saw the dial, I thought it was an IWC. They are really making a statement for the future of their watch making standards
First of all, loving your content, I think we have similar tastes with the majority of your watches and love of Defenders and Java with a similar occupational career.
However I must say when you introduced me to this watch I’m absolutely in love with it..
Thanks for the video review of it
Your close-up photography is really good. Maybe the best I have seen. Well done.
Great to see Breitling releasing great models again !
Makes me want some pistachio ice cream! Nice looking, unique watch, well presented. Thanks once again for informing (and entertaining) me.
You always seem to review the watches that I'm newly interested in! Great review!! Now I just need to come to terms with purchasing a Breitling. I own a few 50's/60's models (not the Navitimer), this watch has so much that i love about those watches plus the benefits of modern technology and craftsmanship.
"Snap judgements based on the branding " well said Adrian, we're all doing this and we need to stop. Things change - owners, designers etc.
Totally agree on many of the comments re Breitling - they're on the right track. 👍
Was bought one recently (for my 50th). It really is a lovely watch. The dial is so eye-catching/pleasing. It's a compliment magnet!
That watch is absolutely stunning! Love the green tone also.
Another great video Adrian and Happy Father’s Day! Breitling is definitely coming around!
Never been a big Breitling fan but their recent collections are improving. Just signed up for their Select program as a way to try a few of their pieces for a year. Good way to get some experience with the brand.
Breath of fresh air, thank you! Not another Rolex/Tudor video. Seems these days most RUclipsrs are stuck in an echo chamber. This Breitling is delicious, great review!
Helpful review. I’m considering one. Like you, Breitling was not on my radar for many years
I’ve tried this watches in the local shop recently. I’ve been stunned since then…As the man who prefers pure classic watches, I was amazed by the craftsmanship and quality for this price. £6K is a chunk of money, however, these watches are totally worth it!
Felt the same way about Breitling. Their vintage models were always better looking than their modern offerings. Over the last couple years though, some of their designs have been really beautiful. I think they are heading in the right direction, especially with this model. It's outstanding!
I bought this same colour after seeing this video, and it’s quickly becoming my favourite in my collection of Seamaster, Monaco, Navi and Chronomat
Great looking watch. Love that dial colour & love what Breitling are doing at the moment. Taking inspiration from their past history is a great move. Losing the bling is even better. Hopefully the days of watches like the Breitling Bentley oversized beast is over!
I never hesitate to give your videos a "thumbs up"! This one is no exception. By far the best of the few I have seen so far about this watch. Especially close ups of dial and movement! For me, this dial is absolutely perfect. For some reason, blue dials just have never worked for me. I admire them, sometimes buy them, and talk myself into thinking they will work. For the clothing I wear, this will work perfectly. Size, manual wind, no date. I like that it's a tribute to the previous Premier, but not trying to be a revival. I have the Premier B01 Norton, and I am totally impressed with the Premier models. As far as anything negative: I can't figure out why, on every Premier model, there is lume on the hands only. It does work, I tried it, reading the time in the dark by position of the hands. But why lume the hands at all? Many watches have dials with no lume. Rant over. I do love the direction Breitling is taking now. Just to show how much I love this watch: I gave up my offer of a new Rolex Explorer 1, when my turn came up on the waitlist. Just so I could afford to buy this one! Just patiently awaiting it's arrival. Cheers, Carl
It’s just absolutely gorgeous; I’m not sure about the strap though. I would probably switch it out with a black or grey one. I think I am thing to buy this watch. That dial just calls to me.
I just tried the pistachio chrono on today. Beautifully finished watch with that great clunk to the column wheel pusher. I think this direction for Breitling has been a long time coming..... all their special colour dials look fabulous but this one stands out as more unique than the salmon...
I think the designs Breitling have been coming out with in the past couple of years are really interesting...I used to find Breitling design way to busy. There are still other watches I want to buy before I would buy a Breitling. Thank you for another great review Adrian 😊👍
I have three chronos that I am interested in acquiring. I'll only get one. This Breitling Pistachio is one of them.
What are the others
@@benb1131 Hi there Ben. Thanks for asking. The other two are the Speedmaster and the new Zenith Chrono Sport , white dial. Normally the Omega would be the choice, but with three Omegas already in my not very large collection, I will likely branch away from Omega on my chrono choice.
@Simon Veasey Certainly a nice plan and I appreciate the advice, but the Tudor Chrono doesn't do it for me. I only plan to add like two, maybe three more watches and then stop buying until 2026 when I buy my last watch. I want to make sure those last two or three are watches I REALLY want. I would be very happy with any of my three chrono choices, so as of now, those are the options. By the time I'm ready to buy (probably a year from now), there may end up being more that appeal, but so far I want to choose between those.
@@jimlittle5769 definitely go for the Zenith. Good luck 👍
Zenith all day. Check out also tag heuer Carrera 160 anniversary and Breitling super Chronomat
I have a Breitling galactic 41 (black dial) for over 10 years now and it’s my favorite timepieces of all time. And yes I own watches from many brands. Excellent quality and reliability
that mint green is a beauty and they are making some nice watches once again
That's such a great tone of blue on the new strap. Nice work!
We want to see the fam Adrian! Hope they love watches too! This was a very close pick for my shortlist but finally went for the white birch
Maybe it’s more rewarding or interesting to have five watches that are not versatile than to have five watches that are very versatile but maybe like more or less the same.
It’s a bit provocative but I just want to say, play with it. Watches are part of us, our personality, our style.
Personally I enjoy it very much to look in a watch box that is quite that is a bit diverse and suits the owner, even if not every watch is one for every occasion. 😃
Great video Adrian and beautiful watch. Breitling heads into the right direction in my opinion.
The dial on this is truly one of the most beautiful that I have seen in quite some time.
i love the new collection from Breitling!
they were pretty smart with the move they made this year. they didn't go to watches and wonders but put out the new collection at the same time... smart move...
this B09 is amazing!!! 40mm and the pistachio green is perfection!!! if only there was a place I could buy a strap that looks better than the leather that comes with it...
Have to say regardless of what watch your featuring you do a damn fantastic job. Congrats at what you do!
'sotto voce' - so clever ... The Breitling looks great and has a serious vintage vibe about it. For me It represents one of the difficulties of watch collecting - this one, that one, the next one - whooa!
I think it's absolutely stunning
I had RCAF pilot friends who had Breitlings in the late 90s. One had consistent QC problems with his. Still, they are cool watches and I am glad to see them rehabilitate their style/reputation.
Love Breitling. I am also an RAF kid, born in Cyprus in 1974.
I love the Breitling PREMIER B25 DATORA 42. Such a stunning watch. Really like the moon phase too, such a quirky animated complication.
I'm warming up to Breitling for the first time, and strongly considering a Premier. Leaning towards the panda as opposed to the pistachio, however. Partially for the color. Partially because it's available on a bracelet.
I love it, I’ve waited a couple years now and am on the hunt for one at a great deal pre loved!!
Amazing looking watch this and the SOH2 blue dial are the best looking watches they have. Keep up the good work.
This watch is simply amazing. Since it came out, I thought that this dial's color was perfect. It would be great if Bretling would introduce this color for the only time Premier too.
Love that you’ve done a breitling review, thank you. I’m an RAF kid too so grew up loving them. If you want to do a vintage review an 806 would be good to look at. Keep up the great content.
Big fan of this Breitling chrono, so pleased you have covered it. I don't think I'll be buying one given the price, but it certainly has my interest.
really good production....keep it up...!!!!👏👏👏
Love this watch in this color. This, along with the B01 panda are the two best Breitlings I’ve seen. I like the direction Breitling is going as well.
Couldn't agree more, the new Breitlings are excellent. The Salmon dial Datora, oh my.
Another great video! Already bought some coffee and it's fantastic
This is the only channel on YT where the product plugs are entertaining. Absolute masterclass.
That color is stunning. I love that watch exept not having the lume plots but having the lume hands. But boy it is attractive. I use chronograph regularly to brew a coffee and i enjoy using them a lot. This one is totally in line with my style
Gorgeous watch, love the pistachio
Looks great, nice review too.
What a gorgeous piece... Coming from someone who has never been a big Breitling fan, at all really, this one really caught my eye last year when it came out...
And now I'm currently looking to buy my first (non-mecha-quartz) Chrono to add to my decently small but very nice collection, and saw this on Joma for something like $6,395 or so which really piqued my interest. I'm also looking at a few pieces from Zenith, and because I'm also planning to buy my first gold piece for a very special occasion 1/2023 I've had my eye on some stuff that's quite a bit more expensive (RG Overseas Chrono, specifically) but I have a feeling when the day comes to drop that kind of coin on a watch I'm much more likely to get something that's not a chrono/fits much more as a near-daily piece to mix in with my steel/titanium pieces. If it proves difficult to get even a simple 3-hand VC Overseas in RG for a decent price, I've always had a thing for RG Day-Dates... Though I hate a cyclops on my crystal personally, it's the one watch I would purchase with one.
Blah blah so back to this Breitling... Came by to ask if anybody has one/has had one for a good while now...? If so, what are your thoughts on the watch for that price after owning it for a decent while? Would love input from anybody who has extended experience.
Jumping chrono hands is caused by horizontal clutch; not because of cam actuated chronographs. Column wheel actuated chronographs just makes the actuations crisper and tighter.
Thanks for the corrections Kenmour. I’ll try and remember that for next time.
@@BarkandJack Always happy to help! Also, great video! :)
This and the B01 panda are absolutely stunning.
It reminds my of the JLC Master Chronograph that came out in 2019 - similar style hands, pushers same diameter and dial similar layout.
i like it. i'm putting it on my list of watches i will buy in the future in no particular order.
The dial is absolutely stunning and love the colour. I’d love to see it I. Some different straps.
Thks Adrian
I have one of these and love it. It think the colour is versatile enough to go with most outfits and occasion. I use this watch mainly for formal dress occasions and have a super avenger for informal wear and occasions. Next up for me is an IWC portofino hand wound moon phase.
£6,200 ,that's two for a sub ,and twice as much watch ,they've had their ups and downs but they have amence history, more than ....you know....the other one .
You've gotta love a Breitling.
Love the channel, keep it up
Jim
One addition to make to your video here. It’s good to know that a column wheel chronograph with a vertical clutch can have the chronograph function engaged indefinitely without risk of damaging the movement and I believe a cam actuated chronograph cannot.
Such a beautiful watch!
Nice vlog they are on their way back. Enjoy
Finally. Bravo Breitling!
This is damn cool!
I love the pistachio dial, v nice!
I like what they are doing now. Respect for the brand 👌
I love that pistachio green dial 👍 This is a great looking watch and I love the finishing and movement on it 😊 Just not in the market to add one to the collection right now ☹️ What I am in the market for is a Bark and Jack nato strap and these new ones with the discount look very tasty indeed 😉
Really like that watch, it calls to me. I will probably look to see up close. Liked the video.
I am not really a big Breitling fan but I do like this one especially the color you showed. I could see myself with that watch
Literally the only Breitling that I like...but man do I like this one a lot. On my shortlist of chronos to get.
The new Breitling models are simply fantastic. That salmon dial moonphase chronograph is one of the most beautiful watches launched recently. However, IMO, Breitling messed up with Tudor agreement by allowing Tudor to sell B01 movement watches for half the price.
Exactly what I think about Breitling, Adrian. They need some awesome watches like this one, to turn the page, back to their serious roots. My first watch was a Navitimer in the late seventies and I still have it. Great video, love you wife talk, Best regard Edgar
I like the matte striped bridge on the movement
Breitling has never inspired me before and I too have no use for a chronograph but it does look very handsome. I think it's the vintage roots that make the difference. Reminds me of Seagull 1963.
A beautiful watch period!!!
I believe Breitling is doing good with their heritage and throwback models, recently got myself a blue dial/blue bezel SuperOcean Heritage 38 mm with small seconds to wear on nato straps (the original rubber strap is hedious, and on a metal bracelet I prefer my Rolex DJ), very much satisfied with the looks of it. Thankfully, they started moving avay from bulky complicated looking avenger/chronomat/navitimer stuff to more appealing clean dials. This one I like too, very good color and clean dial. Would consider adding to my collection on few years, when pre-owned market will get saturated enough for good deals to appear eventually.
Love the current line-up! I think erverything has been said about the Pistacchio, so: The DEUS coop for a special edition of the Top Time seems like "hip" marketing stunt, but I just love how it turned out. Maybe consider that one next for a video?
Have ordered one. First breitling I've wanted, ever! Is a very good move for breitling in my opinion. Heritage editions. Very cool and deal maker is 100m water resistant. Is main reason why no dress pateks or ALS in my collection.
Love the Premier series.
Breitling has definitely turned the corner. They’re not on my list yet, but I’m paying attention.
I recently added Breitling to my collection. Started off with the full sized beast of an Avenger Blackbird Titanium, then the 1959 806 Navitimer & most recently, a Superocean 57 in black (really wanted a Rainbow). They used to be way too blingy/ chintzy for my tastes.
Over the last few years I think Breitling have indeed upped their game considerably. They’re putting out a lot of interesting and desirable watches now.
I like you found Breitling first. I now have five. Four Chronos and a Super Ocean Heritage.42mm. I think they have turned the corner with the last few years releases. But as you pointed out they have to watch they pricing the new Premie line is edging Up there.
Liked your comments on the movement finishing. But I do think it's nice to get both. Great finish and accuracy like I have in my new Bathyscaphe. Which I got for 6000. Pounds and why Breitling has to watch what end of the pool there swimming in.
Nice watch! Nice channel and Nice lad running it! ( with help and guidance from the missus)
Nice..probably the only Breitling I would consider adding to the collection.
I am a GS guy....love the Grand Seiko but seen this watch in another video with Mr. Wonderful amd Teddy Ballasare. Fell in over with the look and wanted to see if it indeed was better than the typical over hyped Breitling. You have convinced me it is respectable and worth my money. Thanks.
5 mins in, we have a coffee ad, strap ad and a watch roll ad. 😂😂Thanks for the free content.
I'd like to see you review some Tag Heuers generally on the channel. I think their Aquaracer range is great. Would be interesting to hear your opinion after spending some time with one...
Love your videos and the overall style of videos and tone of voice!
Ps do I have to pay import taxes if I buy from your shop in Europe now?
That dial is so good.
Not really a Breitling fan, I was concentrating more on your interior design skills.
I’m really tempted to paint my doorframes and doors the same colour as my grey walls!
This watch is a party on the wrist. A stunner. Beautiful finishing as well. Easy to wind…
I’m not a chrono guy but this watch looks great. I agree with your comments on finishing. I like a well-finished movement but it doesn’t have to be spectacular.
