This is one of the most emotional movies ever, especially for a man. To never give up, to get up every time you are hit down, is one of the most important lessons in life.
This is 1 of my absolute all time favorite movies, I've watched it hundreds of times. I had cancer when i was a toddler, spent a lot of time in the hospital, and at home recovering as a kid. Stayin home, living on the coutch, watching TV. And this movie helped me through that, Every time, you watch it, by the end you get pumped, Ready to fight for your life. Endure what life throws at ya. Thank you for this awesome Reaction, D!
Love it. I was 12 saw it in the theatres when it came out. Back then you really didn’t know what the movie was about. By the 14th round everyone in the theatre was standing cheering going crazy. An experience I have yet to ever see again. I will tell you it changed many of our lives. It gave many of us with the underdog mentality that inside us all we can win.
Mate as Stallone said himself, this is a love story not a boxing film…I really hope you continue watching the films, great reaction as always mate, looking forward to your next 👍👍👍
This is maybe the only movie that shocked me that you haven’t seen. What a damn classic! Gets the juices flowing. Always want to work out after watching this movie. Thumbs up all!
This was Sly’s breakthrough as writer and actor. He was offered money for the script but turned it down so he could act in the lead role. He bet it all on his ability to turn it into gold. This script was based on the Ali-Wepner fight.
First time? My man, prepare yourself. This film is the Genesis to my favorite film franchise of all time. There are more to these films than just boxing. There are heart, character, and life lessons all over. I will say that the fights are brutal, but well done and choreographed. The character is Sly's most iconic character of all time, and this film put him on the map, and he's been going ever since. We also lost the great Carl Weathers this year, as well as my mother(not the point, but she deserves the shoutout). These films will always have a special place in my heart.
28:55 Rocky Marciano and I are from the same city, Brockton, Massachusetts, known for its boxing culture. The late Marvelous Marvin Hagler is also from there. The high school sports complex is named Marciano Stadium and the Mascot is “Boxers”. Being Italian, and from Brockton, the Rocky movies are special to us.
Im a grown ass man and i still get teary eyes on that line, "it don't matter if I lose this fight, it dont really matter if this guy opens my head, all i want to do is go the distance, seing that bell rings, and i'm still standing." Thats a motivational quote for all men of any generation.
Rocky, in this film, is the definition of realistic goals. He knows he can't beat Creed. Creed's too fast, too tough, and is just in another league skills-wise. So Rocky knows he can't beat him. But going the distance? Taking everything Apollo can dish out and forcing a decision? Something *no* other fighter has ever done? Yeah, Rocky knows he can do that.
🖤 here for the reaction bro! Haven't seen this movie in So long, hope we both still enjoy it lol be back for the edit! Edit: I agree with you on their first date, she was so shy and said no but that was still forced. But they did end up together, just very creeper vibe in the beginning. That brother was So entitled, should've just been supportive from the beginning lol Rocky proved himself in the end and showed what he was made of and won his girl in the end. Fire reaction bro, see you in the next one! 🔥🖤
Classics!! Let’s go! Rocky is the best! Plz do… Sherlock Holmes Hell or high water Olympus has fallen Caddyshack Stallone really had to fight studio,to get himself to play the roll without just selling the script for more money. And that was his dog he had to sell and get back even I heard. Then he kept turtles from the movie also
The Rocky films are great crowd pleasing movies but the actual fighting is a bit ridiculous. The best fight film is The Raging Bull starring Robert deNiro, directed by Marty Scorsese.
First of all, I'm sorry to hear that you and your wife split up. If it is the same woman who did the Disney Date Night movies, I enjoyed those reactions. As for Rocky, it is more of a love story with the backdrop of boxing. The actor who played Paulie actually WAS a professional boxer in his youth! The Rocky series is phenomenal! The only one of the series that I felt was weak was the fifth movie. Rocky's style of not blocking is just that. He gets hit until he gets mad and then he goes nuts. He'll get better as the movies go on, though.
I was in a fraternity 15 years ago in college and I remember drunk chicks wanting to have sex with me and the other frat boys in the frat parties. I would never touch them when they were drunk and would even drive them home safely, even while they were throwing themselves at me I would refuse to have sex with a drunk chick. My frat buddies would take advantage of them being drunk, and the girls would hate me the next day for rejecting their advances and love the guys who took advantage of them. Since then I don't trust anything women say in such matters. I still don't touch them when they're drunk.
Its easy to judge the past by modern standards. But not very productive. Even when this came out it was a bit rapey, but in this case she realiy wanted something more but was too terrified to let anyone in. Given pauly, i would imagine her parents weren't very good role models in this respect. Pauly is easy to hate, but she never would've gone on that date without the push. And all that follows. Either way. I doubt she regreted it.
Bro you have a Gen-Z point of view of the apartment scene. The world wasn’t as jacked up back then yet lol I mean the brother knows who she’s with so if anything happens then he’s be the first to get questioned.

Welcome to the Rocky Saga....let's gooo to remember

The Rocky/Mick scene in his apartment is probably my favorite scene from this one. Enjoy the series man.

Fun fact Paulie the drunk was a real boxer and was actually really good if you look him up 😊
It is creepy, in today's lense. But not in 1976 not as much. It was just different. Hard to explain. Especially in the hood of Philadelphia.
now you know my boy, we need the hole series !
Lookin forward to this one. Hope everything works out with you personally. Thanks for sharing this reaction!
Please watch Rocky 2. It will really make you emotional! It's about the greatest sequel ever made!!!

Yeah, Rocky knows he can do that.
Rocky's pay in the beginning, if it was today, it would've started at $360, and would come down to $225.
AWESOME REACTION! Hope you're well brother.
How this dude never seen a single movie ever is amazing
$40 in '76 would've been rent for the week. Though personally, I would've found a truck to unload or some day labor, or something.
Gazzo is a crook and a loan shark, but he really does believe in Rocky.
come on Rocky 2!
ROCKY 2 -- 3 - 4 - 5 - 6 now

What happened with your ex bro, hope your doing better 💪

non stop profanity from Devin G makes these reactions cringe and unwatchable.
Nah it's appropriate for this one 😂, well done Devin
Why are you here then? Go out to another place
You are not a real m a n
All real men cry at most of the Rockys. See you at the end!!
