This movie was so much fun when it came out! And the sequel blew this one out of the water! One thing I admire is that they show how much of an advantage bigger guys have in a fight.

You can imagine, how long anyone gowing up watching action movies in the 80s and 90s had been dreaming about finally seeing Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger & Bruce Willis sharing a scene in the same movie.
The scene with Arnie became sort of famous as he was still Governor at the time so they had to film it in the middle of the night when he was not doing Governator things.
These movies are great. It was a smart idea for Stallone to get these action guys together and it seemed like no one had an ego. He got the idea from going to a concert with 20 acts who by themselves wouldn’t have drawn a decent crowd. He thought that would be a great idea for a lot of action actors that are having trouble getting work Stallone included. 9:28 he was Governor at the time so he could only do a small role.
Fact: Stallone dislocated his shoulder in his fight scene with Steve Austin. If you want some more out of this world action, check out The Raid: Redemption and its sequel.
That was the minor injury from that fight, he actually broke his neck and had emergency surgery. Apparently he has had numerous back surgeries since then because he did his own stunts. He is a beast!

Stallone did an interview when this came out and he was asked “ if you put all you guys in a room while in their prime, who would be the last man standing”. Without hesitation Sly said Randy Couture. He was easily the baddest man in the show. The fight with Sly and Stone Cold is legendary and Sly did his own stunts and broke his neck when he crashed into the wall. There is video of them filming it and you see him get hurt. Stone Cold was worried he would get fired for hitting the star to hard. Sly is a true craftsman who has done most of his own stunts.

6:46 another good movie with Mickey Rourke is "Immortals". this is a fully loaded, star studded cast! if you grew up watching the action films in the '80's, 90's, this was thee film to watch. Shwarzenegger, Li, Stallone, Stathem, Rourke,... crazy. another great reaction! 👍
Gunner/Lundgren is by far my favorite, but Stallone/Barney is definitely up there for top badass. For the sheer wisdom and philosophy, though, Rourke/Tool is the team's Yoda.

Dolph lundgren has a degree in chemical engineering from the Royal institute of technology and he has a master's degree in chemical engineering from the University of Sydney and he is a fourth degree black belt in karate and he won a championship in that back in the day. And I can't remember if he did a lot of kickboxing or not. This is all before he even became an actor. I think he may have been doing some bodyguard work for a famous female musician whose name I can't remember right now when he was discovered and became an actor.
I know it's none of our business but I was always curious to know since I was 10 years old when this movie came out about how much money every one of these men made.

The most out want out of this franchise was for Carl Weathers to be in one or two movies
