1:43 Alluding of course to his son, Jeff, who would go on to become an outstanding candlepin bowler in his own right. He was just a little too young to have appeared on Channel 5, but he made several appearances on Stars & Strikes during the Lutsk/Morin era.
Hell yeah candlepin bowling is still being played. A lot of bowling alleys are closing though Worcester MA where it was invented just had their last bowling alley close during the COVID lock down.
Jack Quinn bowling was so smooth. Love watching this match.
Thanks for posting these videos. I loved watching these as a kid and loved going to this bowling alley in Natick. Sad it's closed these days.

AWESOME MATCH!!
Wow. Seriously decent match! And, I'd wager a few in the crowd were just a teensy bit lit. :)
Hearing Don Gillis makes me miss the old school commentators like Chris Schenkel
Super duper match, Wow !!!
This is a way more interesting sport than standard bowling. Why is it not more popular?

There are still many that exist in New England. There are ten pin bowling centers that have several lanes dedicated to candlepin.
