My complaint isn't with you, your video was well done. My complaint is how ridiculously complicated it is to set up a device that has a touch screen. You should never have to go to yet another device and load an app to perform such basic functions. Shame on Google!

Great video, man, everything works now. No idea why the google home is so crippled without the app. I mean you can’t change any settings without the app? At some point, apps became a crutch for devices instead of a way to customize even more. It’s sad as hell

This doesn't work because if the setting in Home app is removed before you reset the Nest Hub, it basically bricks it. The Nest Hub is rendered dead because it still believes the setting exists and there's no way to clear it. Thanks anyway, I trashed it instead.

I've tried EVERYTHING possible for months (off and on, I'm not a psycho) and could never get the dumb thing to work. Switched ISPs months ago and the billions of dollars Google spends on programmers apparently isn't enough to make a device simple enough to just connect the first time and work. Seriously, Google and Amazon products give me more frustrations than the $5 smart bulb I buy from who-knows-what company in Costco. I cannot understand it, especially when businesses with 1/1000th the budget can create some ridiculously easy plug and play tech and Google still makes you suffer and become homicidal or suicidal instead of just figuring out how to make simple plug and play tech...
That being said, thank you SO MUCH for showing where the simple factory reset option is since google can't just add a reset button like any normal person would. I once again can listen to music or take quick verbal notes in my office and am no longer a bitter, angry old man (at least when it comes to this issue...)

So my refurbished Google Home Hub was working, I then wanted to move it, so I unplugged the power cord. It then took me back into the Setup screen. I was unable to reconnect the Wifi. I factory reset the hub, I am still unable to connect to the Wifi. What can I do? Should I return the device?

Great video everything worked until I have to select my wifi . My wifi does not appear in the list to connect to (2:56) but I can control the TV and mini speaker from my phone and the home app. It just won't show it when I try and set up my Hub. I have tried everything. Any ideas why?

My Google Nest Display has been giving me trouble. We changed our wifi and the display screen showed “check network connection” ever since.
I have tried restarting the Nest, deleting the profile, uninstalling and reinstalling the app, unplugging the router etc.
When I get the connect the Google Nest to the wifi, the display still shows “check wifi connection” while the app takes me through the steps to finish setting it up etc. the cast icon with the new name also appears so I know it’s connected to my phone just not the wifi i guess even though. Then it tells me to updated my Nest on my phone and goes through that process even though my display screen never changes.
Any suggestions?

I have reset it 8 times before finding your video. So this did not work. I simply unplugged my device to plug it into another outlet didn't even move the unit itself. Will not connect to wifi now anywhere in the house. 3 other nests all connected instantly. Ouch.

One other thing to check, maybe. I tried for about an hour to get my google home to connect to my wifi. I tried everything; reset to google home device; reset my wifi; reinstalled the home app. Nothing worked. I was using a samsung tablet. On a whim, I installed the home app on my samsung phone and it worked immediately. Don't know what the difference is; they are both andriod. The only diff is that the tablet was using my wifi at the same time I was doing all this whereas the phone was using the network.
