      Well, you could say Holly Woodlawn had quite a long life (especially for being a Warhol star). She died just 3 years ago.

    I never knew about Snyder, just seen him thru RUclips clips, but I think he's great here. What a voice, first off, a true forerunner to the Brian Williams generations. Tom does a GREAT job here trying to get into this obscure world, and is perfect for the layman. Would you rather a host act hip and ironic?
    Snyder is the coolest TV personality I've never seen. Although I acknowledge he's pretty excitable at times, e.g. the John Lydon interview.

    @DaleRobby I don't know, he just sounded a tad irate there to me. By the way, I forgot I ever made that comment, .. . now two years later I receive a response to it and come back here to finde it the TOP comment here, .. well I'll be !

    no she is not. Holly had the option to become a woman early in her career and has always, ALWAYS said that it would have been the biggest mistake of her life.. Holly is not completely male and not completely female, she is her own definition of a person, androgynous and glamorous.

      Holly was a man dependent on his sexuality and would never be a woman

    @Skulldini He hardly yells it. He calmly ask why are you calling a man a woman? And Divine seemed to survive the "shitty" ordeal. Tom is a class act.

    Tom was hipper here, than he usualy was, theugh his joke about "doing the coliseum" went over like a lead balloon.
    As for all the pople confused about holly and Divine's gender, I suppose that these days they would call themselves "gederqueer" or something like that. Holly likes to dress and act like a woman, but realized that she is not a transexual. Divine didn't wear drag all the time, but uasully put more effort into the drag than the male attire. Both of them seem to be somewhere in the middle of the gender spectrum, but at the time there no words for that.
    My take on it, anyhow.
    I wouldn have loved so see the play, but disco? Meh.

    • @get2rog

      Ethan Davidson I take it your strait? because there are words and terms for what they do now and you missed everyone of them. lol
      Don't know if it's just speculation on your part but unless it's an American thing ''genderqueer'' ...I've never heard that term but it sounds offensive.
      Personally I think it was an uncomfortable time for gay people, which made for an awkward interview but hats off to them.

    • @fawn277
      @fawn277 8 лет назад

      Genderqueer is absolutely a legitimate term, it replaced genderfuck. I suggest you do your research prior to making assumptions regarding others knowledge of the LGBT community or implicate that they are being in some way offensive, when you clearly don't know what you're talking about.. Google is your friend, use it.

    • @get2rog
      @get2rog 8 лет назад

      Sakura Blossom Do you have any comprehension of what you are reading? I said that maybe it's an American word and that I had never heard of it but it sounds offensive. Instead of reacting like an angry idiot why not simply explain. My comment wasn't offensive towards him. It's just your angry disposition that interpreted that way.

    • @fawn277
      @fawn277 8 лет назад

      +get2rog apparently calling people angry and questioning their literacy is the go to response for every comment fail.. good job. just telling you to do your research instead of assuming someone must be "strait" or possibly being offensive.. Lolz work yourself out honey.

    • @get2rog
      @get2rog 8 лет назад

      Sakura Blossom Ah you are one of those people. You misread, jump in, throw accusations and then try and BS your way out of it when someone confronts you with it instead of responding in a mature manner. Direct all that internal anger at someone else. I'm not biting.
