Based on my experience, Mercedes-Benz is master of cabin noise cancellation. Proof: In 2016, I've visited a gathering where loud music were played all over the place and it's like a concert. The moment I get in to S-Class (W222 at that time) rear seat and closed the door, instantaneously felt like you're way off the noise. Since then, I began to appreciate what true luxury in the S-Class means, not only limited to the price, power and status but also the smallest things that we didn't notice.
The aeroacoustic on the new s class is simply phenomenal. What Mercedes Benz considers standard on its S class models, no other car brands are achieving that. It was be a pleasure for me and I am sure everyone to drive or be driven in the new S class. Cheers to Mercedes Benz for inspiring me to achieve more!!!!

Amazing. I especially loved the part where he said that every member can point to their specific input that changed the car. In my opinion, you must fully remove electric motor and inverter whine from your electrics, though the EQS has already reduced it more than other EVs. The low level tonal noise is irritating, even though it is so quiet. That’s the next step.

My old W140 has an ashtray, automatic rear view mirror and a sunroof that closes when you hold the button on the remote. All options you guys have removed (on a 2014 S500 4-matic W222 full option that I owned) that seem pretttty basic to me so ill stick to my old car thank you very much
The sunroof opens with just a gesture in the new S-Class: mb4.me/BofXWon3. 😁 In all seriousness, the W 140 was one of the most successful models of the series and we'll always hold the greatest memories from it and its great features. Sticking to your current S-Class doesn't sound like a bad idea at all. 😉
Mercedes-Benz, well done, just let an ambitious Engineer or Development Mgr. describe his work and its requirements, and an authentic, serious message for the product and for the manufacturer brand is created! Sound, vibration and its perception is difficult to master anyhow, but to claim >> no annoying noise at all

I hope the build quality is back to what it was in the 1980’s. My fathers w126 S class felt like it had been carved out of granite, it was so beautifully built. My current E class does not compare
i wonder how loud does it get on 8 lane freeways with vehicles in every direction? quietness works if your driving for 8 hours in and out traffic and cities. there should be a menu/feature to allow/control real noise levels.
i need a driver oriented compact car with the same level of craftsmanship and noise insulation. Unfortunately when it comes to comfort all manufacturers think about class E vehicles.
No doubt, Rolls Royce is the King of luxury cars but they are much more expensive than this luxury sedan . At this price segment no doubt, you are the best 🥰👌👍
It is expected that from the second half of 2021 the S-Class will be able to drive in conditionally automated mode with the new DRIVE PILOT, in situations where traffic density is high or in tailbacks, on suitable motorway sections in Germany. 🙂
Ist bei der Regentropfen Erprobung nicht das Problem, dass diese viel zu langsam sind? In echt sind diese ja deutlich schneller und würden deswegen doch ein lauteres Geräusch erzeugen oder?
The typical drop size in Germany was used to measure the noise, so we can safely say that the sound in the cabin will be maintained in pleasant for the passenger levels even in heavy rainfall. 🙂

It's sad cuz the Mercedes don't use quality materials. That "plastic" is everywhere in that cars. In W140 the wood in that car is real. But wood in W223 or any new generation of Mercs, is plastic. I'm a Mercedes fan and i will be but i'm woried about the future of Mercs
Wood is also present in the newer models but you just have to choose it as an option. Same went for older generations, wood wasn't always part of the standard equipment. 😉
