As a farmer I hate littering too, fields get covered in it because we are alongside a touristy road, can see the McDonalds and burger king wrappers from where they come off the motorway, worrying amounts of alcohol cans that I have seen slice sheep's legs open when they tear apart, even a small amount of litter can harm sheep/cows if they try and eat the wrong things, happened too many times before. The other is people releasing balloons, picked 20 balloons out of fields this year trying to make hay
Sometimes I imagine game developers coming to Matt, asking to show the game that they have and Matt is like "I have only one question. Is there a bridge?"
We need to see a level where you unlock a submarine that attaches to your ship, just make sure it isnt made by Ocean Gate. The sub would be used to go back to previous levels to do more clean up.
I worked a temp job cleaning up an oil spill a few years ago. You don’t hear much about the “little” ones. We had to set lines along the shore with like sponges to hood and trap the oil. It was interesting
I actually love how this game looks and what its about. There really should be more games like this that make such big problems more... well... pleasant in a good way. And as a fellow dutchie this makes me very proud
As a very small child, my American family went to England. We saw the royal black swans. One came over and hissed at me, I was like 4. It was behind a like 2 foot shrub, but it had wandered ten feet over directly toward me, and hissed. I knew I was safe from evil swan, so I hissed back. One of the guards (the swanshave their own guards, wtf?) yelled at me, but it wasn't a posh English accent that I could understand at 4, it just sounded like guttural blabbering, so I started crying. I bet that swan was friends with Fred. The guard too. Jerks.
It's cool to be environmentaly friendly! Don't spill your liquid guys. Also, for some reason I noticed that the 'Bridge Reviews' are from May 03.2018, 5:41PM. What is the significance of that date? Did Matt start his reviews then? Can we get an updated version or am I beeing greedy.
Littering annoyes me as well, but a lot of that comes from working landscaping. Hated doing fast-food joints, because of the amount of litter... Even though they provide garbage cans all over the place.
The only thing that you should be allowed to just toss on the ground is stuff like apple cores and uneaten food. (Even then, do it in the woods or some plant bed, somewhere where it will be broken down)
If you grab a swan by their neck, both hands, and just swing em into a solid surface they will learn and fudge off. Gotta put your whole body into it if you arent used to it, but I've seen a tiny little farm girl do it and that means you can too. Being a bird their bodies are very light, being a swan their necks are basically an angry hose with a rock on the end, and you aren't smacking their head into anything - they'll walk it off and learn not to sass humans. Or at least not to sass you. Works for geese too. Swans are just egotistical geese.
My wife and I befriended a nesting pair by leaving bird seed for them - the nest was on the other side of a small pond, so they didn't feel threatened. After hatching, they let us hand feed the babies while they stood watch with their backs to us. They make a very cute sound, and LOVE raw oatmeal (but they shouldn't have too much, is more like a treat).
I used to rescue swans. We would catch them and put them in duffle bags. Imagine an angry bag with a long noodle neck, honking and being held by you as you carry said angry honking bag….I do miss my Netherlands bird rescue days!
All the trash was a big problem at one of the rivers where I used to live then my friends and I started a group we called are self river trash krew and we would have fun swim and stuff but also go around picking up trash some times give the recycling to bums so they could get food and that still do this like once a month except in winter lol but we try it up to the people to keep are places of recreation clean
I have an experiment for you to help you decide if that was a pigeon or a duck. 1) Get one pigeon. They're all over the place and absolutely free. 2) Put the pigeon into a body of water. The deeper the better, it will stop them from cheating by standing on the bottom. 3) Revel in your new found knowledge. 4) If you feel uncertain about the result, repeat as necessary.
There are a pair of black swans that come to a marshy area next to an intersection nearby my house every year, sometimes with some other adolescents, and they have a lil clutch of goslings that are absolutely adorable. I don't think they're a domestic variety lol

Hi Matt, in most of The Netherlands there are pigeons and in my experience, we generally dislike pigeons. While not hating them, if we were to place something in a game to save, it wouldn't be those birdies.

While I really like pixel art, I much prefer real pixel art, instead of simply applying a shader to 3D models to look like pixel art. It's not a bad looking game, but it looks too busy, right now it just looks like a very early 3D game with solid colors instead of textures, rendered at a very low resolution and scaled using integer scaling. It looses a lot of definition and makes things much harder to identify than it should be. It certainly would be a whole lot of work to rework the visuals, and not to mention that pixel art isn't easy, but it would make the game look so much better. If the dev could refine the visuals, it would make the game so much better.
