@@RealCivilEngineerGaming Matt wouldn't do that on purpose just to make people upset and swarm the comment sections with outrage to discuss his inability to recognize his second favorite animal? Would he???!!!
"Water flows downhill".. yea, I'm painfully aware of the fact. I got a letter from my town a couple of years back stating I had 30 days to install a rainwater system that's 1) underground, and 2) flows towards the ditch by the road, or there will be fines for every day I'm not in compliance. Couple of small problems; my front yard is six inches below street level, and there's no ditch. I had to go to a couple of town meetings, threaten to sue some people. Finally talked with a municipal planning engineer, very slowly and patiently explained to him that water doesn't, as a rule, flow uphill. I finally got permission to route it down by the side of the house to the backyard water feature. It's already got proper drainage and it saved me the trouble of having to break the laws of physics.
Water laws are almost as much of a pain as tree laws... Glad you were able to work something out without having to arbitrarily pay a fortune to the local gov't every time it rains.
I really enjoy how RCE re-explains the game even if he's played it before in this channel. I couldnt catch the last one of this so the explanation is top knotch
RCE finds some of the best puzzle games out there. I don't know how much of my Steam library is directly because of RCE, but I'm sure it's a lot. I love cheap accessible games like this.
9:53 You have multiple playlists about a game based around these creatures, INCLUDING a randomized theme song. Yet your first guesses were, shrew, Armadillo (?!), badger, and vole. Did you not see the tail?
How much does Matt love these, like, "hexagonal arrangement, earn as many scores as possible, limited cards/placements until you get on a new stage, the peaceful and beautiful panorama shows up at the end" sort of game?
Cute game! Kind of disappointing that the devs don't consider Desert to be a viable biome though. Plenty of plants and animals live in the desert, too.
there is a very lovely game similar to this called...pan"orama or picto"rama idr, but its a little more zen and long building with towns and other things plus tasks to get like monuments, but it also believes hexagons are the bestagons
10:00 can someone explain to me how he does not recognize a beaver when he sees one. I don't often watch RCE stuff, but even I know of his Timberborn stuff.
Him "not recognizing" the beaver confirms my suspicion that at least some of the stupid thing he does are on purpose to farm engagement. Well played Matt.
I actually appreciate a break from the strongest shape jokes. I've been re-watching Timberborners, so I did it to myself, but it was getting a bit much.
Matt can spot a knob from miles away, but can't see a beaver right in his face.
🤷♂️
Good

This is also a Timberborn fan

Perfect for a "Story Time with Matt"
10:06 *plays timberborn*
*doesn't recognize a beaver in another game*
Architect-brained moment XD
yep
Was thinking the same thing. XD
I was going to comment this exact thing.
Ffs he drove me crazy 🤬😂😂
That can't be a beaver, beavers walk on two legs!
Yes, my knowledge of beavers comes only from Timberborn, why do you ask?
10:09 the man plays hours and hours of Timberborners as the iron teeth and doesn't recognize the grey beaver..... Lol

@@raznaakbut it has a beaver tail so it is a beaver.
And beavers do walk on four legs. In timberborn, the beavers are anthropomorphic (animals that act like humans).
@@se-os6xtYou can't fool me, why would a game lie about these hardworking animals?
@@se-os6xtmaybe... Or a platypus.
I guess because it's not pumping its wood, RCE can't tell it's a beaver.

For a guy that plays a beaver-based game, you'd think he would recognize them when he sees them.
matt has gone to the mxr school of identifying animals.
Major series: timberborners
Looking at beaver: "is that a shrew"
"Wait, is it an armadillo?"
How does Matt not realize that’s a beaver. A very wet and fury beaver.
10:06 Matt not recognizing a beaver is such an architect move
Shrew, armadillo, badger? Seriously? Lives in the wetlands, is carrying sticks in its mouth, has a flat tail. It's clearly a polar bear.
Oh silly me I thought it was a beaver, that is on me my mistake
XD😂😂😂
TF?? What documentary are you watching, it’s clearly a kangaroo :/
I can't tell if he's joking or if he doesn't actually know what a beaver looks like, even with all the Timberborner he's played.

I currently have 116 games in my steam wishlist and there must be about 60% of it that Matt has played :'D
Beaver-blindness has already been addressed, so I'll come here to say that apparently Matt is unaware of the existence of Can You Pet The Dog?
"I'm seeing strong shapes everywhere, but I'm doing my best not to say anything."
Matt has grown up, I can leave the earth now
9:53 You have multiple playlists about a game based around these creatures, INCLUDING a randomized theme song. Yet your first guesses were, shrew, Armadillo (?!), badger, and vole. Did you not see the tail?
It's a Beaver - look at the flat tail
So it's a platypus!
How much does Matt love these, like, "hexagonal arrangement, earn as many scores as possible, limited cards/placements until you get on a new stage, the peaceful and beautiful panorama shows up at the end" sort of game?
You know what he says. Hexagons are the bestagons.
Matt calling a grassland hay. I'm dying
17:14 it says +70, you got your 60 bonus
He's blind enough to not notice the beaver
I always love when my fave youtubers expose me to underrated or new indie or small company games.
you even called the water wheel a "shaming" wheel, but still didnt make the beaver connection! AAAAA!!!
matt getting the 70 points and ignoring it at 17:16
Cute game! Kind of disappointing that the devs don't consider Desert to be a viable biome though. Plenty of plants and animals live in the desert, too.
doesn’t look like they have savannah or rainforest either. looks like they’re starting with the common biomes in their area
Thanks for showcasing this game! Looks very fun!
Can you pls make a machinarium series its a cool and hard puzzle game and i think its the perfect game for you😊
To be fair, the beaver was hunted to extinction in the uk during the 1600's, shrews however are very common
The comments about Matt not recognizing a Beaver is refreshing lol
How does he not know what a beaver looks like? 😂
What is this animal?! (says the man who plays hours and hours of Timberborn...)
Thanks
Thanks dude, very kind!
HEXAGONS ARE THE BESTAGONS 💪💪
Hexagons are the bestagons!
bruh my yt recommendations 5 mins back showed me a video about why hexagons arent the bestagons
A guy builds his whole career on a game about beavers and doesn't recognize one.
Please make this a series. I would watch this to death.
the ukulele plucked “Hey soul sister” in the background really takes this experience to the next level in the beginning
This is a very relaxing video. really appreciate it. love the content. keep it up
Beaver 🦫, Matt!!! I guess because it don’t have a hard hat on you didn’t recognize it.
Amazing video Matt would like to see more content like this
Is that {beaver} an armadillo? 😂
congrats on 2 million subs RCE
Clearly a beaver.
"Is that an armadillo?!"
i JUST saw the last video and had nothing more to do… timing was impeccable
This is a super cool game, would love to see more in the future!
there is a very lovely game similar to this called...pan"orama or picto"rama idr, but its a little more zen and long building with towns and other things plus tasks to get like monuments, but it also believes hexagons are the bestagons
Anyone confused that matt plays a game all about beavers but cant spot a beaver in another game??? 😅😅
Would love to see more of this game!!
I'm proud of your restraint, Matt.
Matt wouldn't know a beaver if it infested his reeds.
This proves how much matt cares about his timerborn citizens 😊
I was gonna comment about the beaver but i see that everyone already did...meh I'll still post it anyway!
i’d like to see you play Terra nil, it’s a similar concept to this but more of a puzzle game than a card game
I was once a mountaineer until I took a rock-phasing goat to the knee
🤣🤣🤣
Plays Timberborn fantastically yet can't seem to recognize a Beaver when he sees one.
Got home for lunch and ran right to RCE 😊😊😂
Who is this man and how does he not recognize a beaver? XD

The Timberborners are weeping right now.
Here for the Beaver comments.
You would love a game called “my little universe” resource gathering, boss battling, best of all HEXAGONAL terrain buildiing
Sorry mate im an octagon fan
I so want to see Matt play Goat Simulator, now.
Architect Matt has a series about playing as beavers but doesn’t know what one looks like
10:00 can someone explain to me how he does not recognize a beaver when he sees one.
I don't often watch RCE stuff, but even I know of his Timberborn stuff.
You cant let the architects think that an engineer cant complete poly bridge, get to work Matt.
Just here to join the choir regarding the beaver 😂
And the fact that he didn't make a strong shape and beaver joke.. Yeeez 😂😂😂
“Is that a shrew?” - guy who plays Timberborners for a living about a beaver
0:57 ive see water flow heading south up a hill

Him "not recognizing" the beaver confirms my suspicion that at least some of the stupid thing he does are on purpose to farm engagement. Well played Matt.
Seeing as hexagons are the bestagons, I wonder how Matt would like Civ 6
Game name?
9:54 Its Bobr Kurwa!
🗣️Ja pier dole jakie bydle 🔥🔥
This reminds me of a breed between Dorfromantik und Terra Nil, and I'm all here for it!
triangles are better than hexagons in many ways but a hexagon is six triangles so anything that's good for triangles is also good for hexagons.
Snarky wditor is my favorite part of nontimberoner videos
...and a big part of those too.
when mindustry?
Matt doesn’t want to associate with beavers anymore since he committed the mass cleansing on timberborners.
It's a neat game, relaxing but still challenging.
Matt: has played a beaver game for the last 5 years. Also doesn't know what a beaver is
King Domino but instead of a kingdom, it's the animal kingdom! Fun :)
As a professional rodent and armadillo identifier, I 100% approve of this video.
Day 22 of notifying people that the Discord suggestions forum is a better place to suggest games to Matt. (Just don't ping him!)
Not recognising the beaver was a SHREWd move, he knew people would BADGER him in the comments about it to feed the algorithms.
How many episodes of Timberborners are you into now? It’s a beaver! 🦫
Editor should have added a couple clips from Timberborn when he didn't recognise the Beaver
Places goose, goose honks, still calls it a duck...
The Timberborners will remember that...

The irony of not recognizing a beaver.
10:11 and you call your self a timberborner! Shame! Shame! Shame! It’s a beaver mate!
did you make a cgpgray reference at the very start? "hexagons are the bestagons" is this a common thing that I'm way too nerdy to get?
I love how all the comments are calling him out for not recognizing a beaver 😂
Someone put Matt in a shame wheel for not recognizing the beaver.
After all that, THATS the last ending?😂
