Hello All! There was a rules update (back in July) that I only just found out about! The files are here: boardgamegeek.com/filepage/221264/kemet-rulebook-en and within the comments section is a nice little breakdown.
This is the best how to play of all. I was trying to get an idea how to play K:BnS but wasn´t able to find anything useful. After all this review came... Very brief, informative and also depictive. Thanks for your work and I am looking forward to some other things you make!
Thank you! I had a hard time wrapping my head around it so I figured this would help others! I'm glad you enjoyed it and we've got more stuff planned like this!
So *you* sacrifice 2 of your own units after the enemy loses that number, correct? And the amount is always 2 for the player who used unblockable damage or the number of sacrificed units is equal to the number of unblockable damage on the card?
I get more out of video like this than a 'review overview' like Alex from Boardgame Co' does BUT I do get something out of that too, but this gives an upclose, Indepth, step-by-step walkthrough of a game turn, and we can see it laid out. Thank you for this video. P.S. Yes , Moddy can have a cat with two conditions: 1) She has to clean up anything related to the cat, feed the cat, and any other care duties. 2) Make sure the cat does not destroy anything, like Blinds you have, so take steps to safeguard your furniture and other things, like carpet. Had a cat that tore up the Blinds in an Apartment, also cats claw carpet. Moddy must buy all those things related to safeguarding the place you live from the cat's potential destruction. There are many types of things you can get depending on the exact thing you seek to protect. If a pet deposit is paid, as this is an apartment, she must pay it, NOT 'her man' or 'her mommy or daddy'. She needs to "Woman Up' and pay for it herself. That is the cost of being an adult.
Thank you!! I wish we had more time to devote to "How to play" videos for all of our games, but we are working them back in slowly for your reasons exactly. And you'll be happy to know, Mari got not one, but TWO cats!
Hi, just got my copy after learning to play Kemet 1.5 online last week. Not sure where you got the rule that the delta temple is excluded from anything? It's not in the rules I'm looking at. The only difference with delta temple is that you need to sacrifice a unit to get the overnight prayer points. All temples are considered for the Temple Control victory points. (Temporary and permanent). The Sanctuary is not a temple.
If I get the 9th FP during night fase and I am the first to make and action after night. I am a winner immediately? Or I need to take one action and let others do one action also? I f I get 9th FP after my last action during day phase I will be able to win only during my turn on day phase of the next round?
That's a good question. In theory, you would automatically win, because the rules as written only say that they need to start their turn of the Day Phase before doing any actions with at least 9 FP. I would say, however, to keep with the spirit of the game where players get a chance to do something to react to being in Check, you would play one more round.
@@TheBrokenSeal Now I think you should win, but you can't win because the others will not let you be the first. And another question. WHere in rules did you find that delta temple doesn't count for two temples in night phase? And does sanctuary of gods count?
brother, I can't get used to your body being between the box and the white wall, that setting distracts me all the time. Otherwise, you explain very well and just continue with your work
Forgot to show that on the video, my bad! It has a Divine Intervention image on it, with a red X to it's right and an arrow to the left. There are 5 copies of it included in the base game! Hope that helps!
You need cat cat tells you what to do cat is great cat will show you the way without cat there is darkness CAT RULES WORLD.....no really you should have a cat :)
The harbour stuff is the most un-understandable point of all. I keep listening to the explanation, still don’t understand the difference between military and trade 😅
From a zones where are red harbors (millitary) you can only leave from that zone, Blue (civil) you can do both leave from that zone containing blue harbor and enter that zone .So from red you can go to any blue, from blue you can only go to other blues. The only exception where you CAN enter a red harbor zone is red harbor that is nearest to your city, and only of cource if you are the player who controls that city.Only that player can do that.Think of thst harbor as your "own" player harbor.Hope i helped.
I like listening to you more than some of the others I've found. However my eyesight isnt good enough to see some of the things you do, try zooming in when doing things.

Thank you for this - great overview! Very clear and concise - just what this game needs!
Thank you! After playing about 4 games and realizing each time that we did something wrong I figured this was probably needed by others haha
quick correction: unblockable damage works like this--> You sacrifice 2 units after the battle in exchange for that amazing 5 strength
You're right! I spent the weekend looking over the rules corrections/clarifications and came across this!

I hope you got your cat! Thanks for the rules overview!
11:07 - How do you bluff if you are supposed to place 1 card but places 2?
Not sure in blood and sand, but in the original version you put the divine intervention cards hidden under the battle card.
Thanks for sharing
Thank you for the video!
Thank you, very structured and logical. As a non native english speaker, i can understand you perfectly.

You are correct, the Delta Temple does count as a Temple during the Night Phase. That was an error we made during the video.
I mean there are those other rules too that changed after you made the video, but you weren't to know!
Yeah, we thought about making an update, but figured it would be better to direct people to the update rules.
No cat, dogs is where it's at.
