Cool fly! Imo deerhair sliders, especially the unweighted ones, are the best predator flies available. I have caught dozens of species in fresh and saltwater on them. If we do add some weight (I say we, but I do mean my buddy Floris van den Berg who is the best deerhair tier I know), we make an Avalon style version that is killing for (big) perch, zander, European bass and seatrout.
