When you see that cobra bumper coming at you, you know what’s up…The only thing I wish more cobra owners did was keep the OG five star wheels. I feel like those give any built up car, a sleeper appearance. Still, can’t hate on this clean, done right build. Congrats to the owner!

These cars are insane. My last Terminator made 700 to the wheels on a VMP Gen3R with exhaust and fuel mods. Currently have an 03 Sonic Blue and still deciding on where the build will go
i need me one man. recently lost my precious 3v in a hit and run accident and insurance fucked me over so now i gotta start from rock bottom 🤷🏽♂️ but it’s cool im up for the grind it be hectic but i’ll get it done. seeing this man’s cobra on the road gives me even crazy motivation to get it done.
as soon as I heard him hit the gas at 1:28 I was In absolute amazement, that cobra sound like a dinosaur, i can’t even wrap my mind around this car being 20 years old and still intrigues me, absolutely timeless engineering…
Edit: at 3:37 fishtails around a corner like this are smooth as hell to me that shit looks awesome when the right person pulls it off
It blew my mind riding in it and hearing it from outside the sound is even crazier in person

bro the gauges in the speedo cut after a certain speed. never seen that before.
Mine has never done that either. Got me worried tho...
It was a alternator voltage issue, too much heat from the long tube headers. Problem solved with a Nations alternator with a external voltage regulator.

I keep saying it in every video. Machine lip/chrome edge wheels are the best. This is another good example. I hate red more than any other color, but I like his wheels. Machine lip look good on every car. All black wheels are hideous. I plan to Cosmis xt-005r or xt-006r machine lipped wheels on my car someday.

3 until I finally put a nations alternator in it. Problem was heat because of its location. Too close to the heaters

Kmj alternator that stop charging after the long tubes gets it to hot. Switching to a Nations to solve the problem

Good eye. It's more than likely an alternator issue. If it is, I hope the owner gets that taken care of quick cause that could kill a motor due to it killing power to the fuel pumps then causing the motor to lean out and boom. Good idea to get a gauge that monitors the voltage/amp to know when it dips too low.

@@stephenalexander2427 my buddy has a Mechman on his and it stays in the 14's too. Even while in traffic it stays in the 14's since he did the vent cooling mod which helps a ton.

Not even 700whp from a gen5 Whipple....He must be on pump gas, low boost, and conservative tune. There are guys making over 700whp on VMP 2.3 blowers - hell, one guy made 850whp on a ported VMP 2.3 blower. Another RUclipsr made 680whp on pump gas on a VMP 2.6. Tell the guy to up the boost, go E85, and he'll easily be at over +800 hp to the wheels.
That's amazing, the dyno he was on is known to read a but low too. And yes he was on pump
Yea with e85 you can't run tons of boost on pump gas. A pump gas 2.3 will do 600 or so to the wheels. E85 makes a huge difference on power but not everyone has access to it or wants to run it.
2.3 tvs cobras doing over 700 are running like 22 psi with full supporting mods and e85. And if someone was doing 850 it was likely on a built high compression engine with cams on e85. You gotta compare apples to apples you can't compare e85 2.3 numbers to pump gas 3.0 numbers. Car isn't gonna just make the power because a 3 liter is on there it has to be running the right fuel and be spinning it good to hit numbers like you're talking about. Clearly he's running pump gas friendly boost levels.
@@midnight347 Which is why I said he's probably on low boost and conservative tune. And the 850 2.3 was for the most part stock motor stock compression but on GT40 cams. He was running higher boost, I think 26 or 27 lbs. But my point was, if you're going to be running a bigger blower, why run small blower numbers? And this guys sounds like he has full supporting mods too, he even has a 2,500hp fuel system. Based on some reading in the comments, he may have also been on a low reading dyno. Otherwise, he just needs to change a few things and he'll be where he needs to power wise
