This "game" rly helps to understand how beautifull the ship was, how skilled the people who made all this wooden boiserie and how smal the titanc was if we compare it to modern standards.
With how long ago the one and only voyage of the titanic occurred, it's surprising that this is the first time ive seen a simulation based on it. How crazy
I have been watching this game develop for what I feel has been well over 5 years. I played the first demo and loved it but I cannot wait for it to be complete so we can get to the sinking survival aspect of it
This is breathtaking. Nice graphics, really cool to be able to experience and view the ship in this fashion, im going to download it and take a look myself too 😊
8:10 is the wireless telegraph room. To the left is where the two wireless operators slept. To the right is the generators that power the wireless. This was all extremely cutting edge for 1912.
"...break step" refers to the potential for harmonic resonance to potentially cause damage to the ship. If everyone walked at the same step timing...it really can break even the largest of structures.
If my memory serves me correctly, I believe there have been instances in the past of men marching across suspension bridges that would sway due to the harmonic resonance...
Trevor - Thank you for bringing light to Honor and Glory. I have been following its development for years and seeing a large youtuber like yourself playing it makes me so happy!
Fun fact about the title “project 401”. 401 was Titanic’s actual hull number in real life. You can still see the number 401 still visible on the propellers on the wreck today.
Just an explanation of the pineapple thing: When pineapples were first introduced to places like the UK, they were so rare and expensive that it was a flex to have one and rich people would use them a centrepieces on their tables for display rather than to actually eat them.
awsome trev thanks for doing this. Most passengers shared bathrooms even first class passengers. although few 1st class passenger staterooms had semi private bathrooms
Is this what the titanic’s layout looked like? I never realized just how accurate call of duty black ops 4 zombies map voyage of despair was in portraying every last detail of this in the level design. When watching this video I felt like I had personally already been there except for the pool and sauna which I knew nothing about and the fact the 3rd class was a bit more cramped than it had been portrayed in game. I was about to say a bit more cramped than I remember it being but of course I was never on the titanic. Playing a video game where I run across an accurate model of a boat made it feel like I’ve already seen it before.
Its actually very precisely recreated they used video material from the actual wreckage of the titanic and alot from olympic (twin of the titanic) manage to get nearly original schematics and alot more research and etc been done for recreation.
Those are changing rooms besides the pool. I haven't done a cruise and not sure I want to, but I would love to take a crossing on an ocean liner like this. Modern Cruise ships just lack a good bit of style.
3:04 the camera is kind of an easter egg. That room was used by Father Francis Browne who took off from Southampton and left at Queenstown. He took some photographs with that handheld camera and since he got off at Queenstown, some photographs of Titanic's inside survived.
Those doors could've held the water back, they weren't the issue. The problem was multiple compartments flooded due to the gash in the bow from the iceberg and the bow dipping so low that water was going to flood in overtop of the bulk heads.
The lower doors were also lowered 1 meter from their closing height allowing water to overflow from one section of the bulk to another, also the I correct rivets were used to put the bulk of the ship together which massively weakened the joints.
This is pretty cool. There is a game where you have to escape the ship while its sinking..Ive never escaped it. It also has an exploration mode, but its not even half as good as this Fun fact: The Titanics pool still has water in it
You need to make a trip to pigeon forge Tennessee they have a 1:1 scale real grand staircase and the entire museum is 1:2 scale. It’s a beautiful museum
Nothing makes a semis engine look quaint like the engines on a ship this size. I remember touring a Destroyer Class ship and when I saw the engine, my first thought was "what the hell were the things I THOUGHT were engines all these years?" Unbelievable power.
some great detail here, and also the fourth funnel was a "dud" - i mean it was just a hollow funnel, not connected to the engines... but four funnels was decided, i guess to make the ship live up to it's name
A sign that reads "MEN WILL BREAK STEP WHILE IN TUNNEL" telling firemen to walk in a certain way to avoid damaging the structure and making loud noise and/or over cluttering of the tunnel or staircases.
One Day, The Developpers Would Put "Sandbox Options" Where You Could Put The Iceberg Where You Want, If It's Day, Afterrnoon Or Night, And Make The Titanic Sink (Not Going To Forget An Ability To Put All The Persons From The Titanic, Including Jack And Rose)
The Titanic had a top speed of 23.5 knots or 27.1 mph. White Star Line ships were built for luxury and comfort, not speed. The Cunard Line's Lusitania topped out at 28 knots was 100 feet shorter than Titanic and not as luxurious.
Awe Man U should’ve went to the Reciprocating engine room and the turbine room. At the end Ik u went to one of the boiler rooms but man the other two would be really cool to see, especially if the reciprocating engine’s actually were animated 🅿️🅿️🅿️
This is the future of education. Could you imagine seminars built around living IN THE TIME of what you're reading about? Both good and bad. Could you imagine this tech being used to teach people about WWII in both shining and dismal lights? Experiencing scientific discoveries in real time or periods of turmoil? This is amazing and I fully expect this to be the future of education one day
@@MicahBellEdits I have travelled on planes many times, there is nothing fun about them other than the meal and the small screen in front of you , on ships there is so much more you can do plus ships are much more safe than aircrafts even 700 people survived the horryfiing sinking of titanic but no one would survive a crashing aircraft into Atlantic also ships do not have limit on weight of bags you bring with you the downsides of ships is that you need to travel to a city with port and that the are much slower and expensive but they make traveling much more fun

Cant wait for the submarine simulator
There is one on steam and it even required you to use a PS2 controller to play
😂😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂
Too soon

21:10 Breaking step (or not stepping in unison) ensures not damaging the ship or making too much undue noise.
Those tiny rooms with the seat next to the pool were dressing rooms where people could change into or out of their swim suits.

you could even rent pineapples for a day or two to display at your party. Wild lol.
@sheepsky Lol. I didn't know that but it makes sense. I might start a business doing that again myself the way the cost of living is going!

Can I just say as a history buff lol and a Scottish person, early morning strollers means people that are drunk or under the influence past this sign
So, the "all-nighters"? Lol.
Maybe they can combine this with the water sim, that would be epic!
The tiles in the Turkish Baths were still there last time they managed to get there inside the wreck
If tiles from the ship manage to survive being broken, those things will last a very long time. They'll outlive all the metal parts.

What happens to Super Cooper?! All of a sudden no more posts at all!!! Very very sad!!!!
Idk if anyone noticed but one of tmartin’s videos was in the new grand Turismo movie
2nd class was definitely the best value for money. Some of the 2nd class cabins were actually interchangeable with 1st.
Those are changing rooms besides the pool. I haven't done a cruise and not sure I want to, but I would love to take a crossing on an ocean liner like this. Modern Cruise ships just lack a good bit of style.
You can't do a crossing on this one specifically as it sank unfortunately
I've been on a Royal Caribbean and the ship, to me at least, felt and looked like a giant floating shopping mall. It was not that nice.
3:04 the camera is kind of an easter egg. That room was used by Father Francis Browne who took off from Southampton and left at Queenstown. He took some photographs with that handheld camera and since he got off at Queenstown, some photographs of Titanic's inside survived.
Take heart in the knowledge that , if the game crashes, it'll only crash once...

The lower doors were also lowered 1 meter from their closing height allowing water to overflow from one section of the bulk to another, also the I correct rivets were used to put the bulk of the ship together which massively weakened the joints.
The bamboo chairs were intended to be used as life rafts, since the ship wasn't fitted with enough real life boats.
Papine (this bottle is from Battle & Co.) is a mixture of alcohol and morphine. So it was pain reliever
This amount of detail, but recreate Pripyat before the Chernobyl explosion.
This is pretty cool.

This game looks too realistic beautiful job to the creators
Looks fantastic! I was fascinated by Titanic as a kid and loved how beautiful she was inside and out. Such a loss.
15:00 that is what the average streamer does 😅 sleeping next to the desk and Talking to people no the desk... Great Video. Thx
Or Maybe i didnt get the joke😅
I believe the area you entered with the plants was one of the 1st class promenades
If it’s the one I’m thinking, it was the Cafe Parisian.
I could easily get lost on that ship!! And I think those side rooms where the pool was, were changing rooms!
did you not update the game so that the submarine was also added... its a detail that makes this game so much better
But does it simulate the amount of room Jack really had

too big time now i think

How often does a ship sink just once?
the graphics are literally the best ive seen in any game. Its like a real life 4k video.
The graphics are insanely realistic! 👍👍

Not sure if anyone mentioned it but 19:52 these are obviously dressing cabins haha

I think 2 Cl. Steward means Second Class Steward not Second Colonel Steward. Those little rooms at the pool are changing rooms.
Daytime really humanizes the Titanic. It feels like a genuine cruise ship rather than a tragedy.
