I recently bought a Suzuki 9.9 just like yours. I only have 2 hours on it, and I'm still breaking it in. I notice you sometimes take your hand off the tiller handle, but the throttle continues to run at the same speed. Can you tell me how to do this on this motor? Love your videos, especially the saugeye videos from Buckeye and Hoover. Thanks.
Yes, there is a tension knob on the bottom side of the throttle arm. As you turn it you will notice the throttle has less loose feel. As you snug up that knob then the throttle will tend to stay where you leave it. It's not perfect, but it holds fairly well.
