  • Today I am taking a look at the Olight lab, the Olight factory, a battery supplier and a supplier with CNC machines and lathes.
We'll see how the Olight O'Pen Glow is made.

Another awesome tour video! I can see why you had to wait to release this video. The new SEEKER MINI light being released, or told about to the public anyhow. Thanks for taking us along!

I'm watching the video 5 months later and the Perun successors on the Lumen boxes are still not introduced 🙂

Is that factory in Shenzhen ? How'd you manage a tour ? Very interesting.

Headquarters is in Shenzhen and the factory is about 20 minutes away in Dongguan. I asked Olight Australia if I could visit HQ in China before my trip to see family and they kindly arranged it.

Time to ask the real questions... What light were you using when you went into the candela testing room? Just curious if it were an Olight. LOL

It was definitely an Olight torch. They had a few in the room with the spheres. It might have been an upcoming model... 🧐

I'd love to know where I can source those button tops they're welding on. The caps I use take me too much time to try and centre.

HA! They tell you to not use any external charger for their batteries but you can clearly see at 4:02 even them are using off brand chargers!

The 18650 and 21700 cells probably fit ok in something like an XTAR VC2L charger. The positive terminal may need a notch to be able to touch an Olight 21700 though. I can imagine the complaints that they'd get with people having different chargers that expect button tops and won't work with the proprietary design.
