I went from never raced this track to be able to do averages of 1:45 and a couple of 1:44, depending on how brave i felt in the bus stop so big thanks!
Going to try my first ever proper endurance on the 24h of Daytona. Coming from ACC I thought this car with iRacing's tyre model would be ridiculous but it's actually easier to drive lol. Managed a 44.7 but I need to work on my trailbraking
How is this car to drive in iRacing? In ACC it just want to kill you and really hard. I’ve always wanted to drive this car because of the sound and it’s a Porsche. I’m currently driving a 296. But wanted some thoughts before thinking about buying it. Would be amazing if you can help out please.
It’s much better than the older models from iRacing, it still has the same lift off oversteer but it’s very manageable. i’d very much recommend this car.
I’ve found the iRacing version easier to drive than ACC. You can actually trailbrake it and it’s usable with a super low TC setting. I feel like I have to be attacking every corner when I drive it though.
Any tips about the Porsche feeling loose as hell around T5 (the leftkink) I want to drive it around Daytona bad but i feel so insecure in this corner and am always almost spinning? (And if you see this i just raced you today and i was so happy finally meeting somebody i look up to in my lobby lmaoo, good race i was nowhere near you as I am on like mid 45 times right now)
Hello mate, was it you that messaged in the race? If so sorry for not replying in the session... For the kink, you just have to be very smooth with the steering and minimal with it, also avoid all of the inside kerb. you can lift a tiny bit to make it easier however, do this before you turn in, if you lift and turn in at the same time then the rear will be even more loose. hope this helps 😀
@unknowndriver8664 Yes it was and no worries haha, i didn't expect a reply back it's all good 🫶 Will try your tips when I am back on track tomorrow thank you!🫡
Are you using the stock config and what amount of fuel are you using? Just want to know when replicating if i am getting close to your times with same setup.
0:40 I found that your Turn 1 Gearing ends up being too slow. What works and what I have seen others do is shift down to 4th gear and throttle a little and then shift down to 2nd Gear and you can carry more speed through the corner at the Tires Apex Point
EXCELLENT Guide as always. Hitting the track now and thank you!
that's a smart time... looking forward to giving it a go... im almost 2 seconds slower lol
Training for the next week starts early, NICE!

Great video! Btw, where is the brake and throttle telemetry from?
It’s from a service called kapps, they do a 30 day free trial, their overlays are very nice.
@@unknowndriver8664 Thanks!

This was the fixed setup, in the garage, if you go to the iracing setups tap it should be int there.
