Going to try my first ever proper endurance on the 24h of Daytona. Coming from ACC I thought this car with iRacing's tyre model would be ridiculous but it's actually easier to drive lol. Managed a 44.7 but I need to work on my trailbraking

Is this the basic setup with no brake bias adjustment ?

At 4:12 i brake just about where you can see the track starts to turn away a bit on the left

That turn I look at the white line. You'll notice that it's not a smooth curve as there's two distinct bends/kinks on it. It's very subtle but it is noticeable once you see it. I brake around the same point you did just as you reach the 2nd bend/kink in the line.

Fixed setup it means that I jump into the game with the Drive Test mode, will I have the same setup?

why did you decide to leave space at the last two laps instead of closing off the inside? Not judging, just curious, I'm a newbie.

Any tips about the Porsche feeling loose as hell around T5 (the leftkink) I want to drive it around Daytona bad but i feel so insecure in this corner and am always almost spinning? (And if you see this i just raced you today and i was so happy finally meeting somebody i look up to in my lobby lmaoo, good race i was nowhere near you as I am on like mid 45 times right now)

I got a 2:20.9 as my best lap but I was driving on the new spa. There’s more gravel so I wasn’t able to use as much of the keen. And I’m running a default setup. 2:17.8 is incredible!! I feel like I need to find some time in my lap.

I improved my time 0.6 seconds. Thanks man

Nice guide! Just one correction: you reffered to T2 as T1 (2:00) T1 is actually the kink on the main straight

I get as good as I am going to get on a track within the first 6 hours of practice. The next 100 hours of practice gives me no improvement whatsoever. I wish someone could explain that to me.

Man the Ferrari is so hard to do this with. I feel like I understeer a lot and either I go to fast or brake to early. You throw this thing around like I do the Miata. lol.

Ive ran maybe 80-100 laps of it, my optimum is 1:34:843 At that shit time there doesn't seem to be ANY meat left on the bone, Tsukuba, its a battle royal on there in the 1500 ratings. NAVARRA, LEDENON, TSUKUBA are the tracks I like least, followed by some of my favorites Oltun Park, Laguna Seca, Summit Point all coming next few weeks so Ill go back up to 16-1700's again.. Just need to discipline myself to NOT drive these garbage tracks.

Amazing time man, this isn't a criticism directly towards you, even Coach Dave Academy is doing the same thing for their references but I wish the single player Time Attack competition was used more often for these hotlaps. Track temperature, usage state, fuel load and the setup overall can account for a significant variance. Keeping things consistent between people uploading this kind of content would be awesome. Even just for practice I wish it was used more by the racing public to get a better idea of what the competition looks like before going into an official session, even then, I don't think enough people are using Time Trails so there's actually some proven consistency behind that pace

In current Porsche absolute best time is probably a high 1:18 time 1:17 I don't think is possible

Has this vehicle been nerfed?

You're about half a second faster than me here, but I do disagree with a couple points: #1 (especially in the Mclaren due to its potent brakes) you should be braking at about the 135 meter marker(maybe 125 in the Mclaren) on the first chicane. It's easily done and will save you time. Second, I've found it to be better to brake around the 75 meter mark for the parabolica, as you're able to stay right up on the curbing and get on throttle much sooner, making for a way better exit for the start finish straight.. Anyway, I wish I could take the 2 corners after the second chicane the way you do. I'd end up in a wall trying to carry that much speed.
