I use both. The good thing about regulated is you can withdrawal directly into your bank. I'm about to trade indices in the futures market soon because having a lot of money in the unregulated brokers is scary AF!

@@mzz9241 I use Raja's Dominion Markets. I like that he's transparent about owning them. Great spreads and commissions in my opinion. Withdrawals and deposits are fast.
This is why I stopped using MT4. I had quality trades and profits but if I showed them, someone can claim its fake and I'd have no way of verifying it because MT4 numbers can be manipulated.
Decided to trade back to my U.S. regulated Broker and do away with all the craziness. Plus, a lot less risk having funds with a regulated broker as opposed to an overseas one.

This is the main reason most prop firm prefer with metatrader and alwaya making excuses on not gonna make tradingview available. So no need to risk a real money on the account, but they still gonna claim it's real money.

You can create your own server, put any amount you'd like in it, and title it a live account. MT4/5 is an open source platform and can be completely altered.

Yup 1000% bs. Complete garbage. He claim to profits 100k-500k on a weekly basis yet drive shitty car and nothing to proves his profitablity. What surprised me most is the comments on his videos, it all compete bs people praising him and sucking his balls.
MT4 sucks azz. How did this become a popular platform. You have to download plug-ins that should be standard on MT4 and you have to type in your position\TP and SL by actual number instead of just using pips and takes to long to enter a trade. Don't get me started......
Because it was the only one which was readily available for free, add to it that you also had a coding language which people could build custom indicators with, it was groundbreaking when it was released. You have too remember, when it was released in 2005, there wasn't anything else on the web which could complete. Even now, TradingView with all it's benefits is limited by the brokers it allows, Metatrader never had the problem.

Hey, Nick! I’ve just recently discover forex trading and after a few days of research, it finally led me to you. I’ve learned a lot from you and other videos so I started a demo account with 100$ to accurately establish how trading really works (cus I plan on depositing 100$ first).
I am intrigued by risk management but I just found that even after a 1% risk management, I still lose (sometimes) around more than 4$. I kinda get why but I just need some confirmation because I already use 0.01 and I don’t know if there’s anything below that. I really don’t know what constitutes to this happening and I wanna know if I should just increase my deposit. Thanks already!

Yeah but he's wrong about one thing. Regulated brokers use metatrader. He generally means the unregulated ones aren't to be trusted.

Charging people money in return for genuine value with proven results is different than faking trading results and selling dreams.
I need to add my experience to this video and SORRY if it seems to be long but this man is trying to do good, but doesn't tell the whole story... please thumbs up to my comment if you like it...
It is all about where the unethicality lies...It can be in the platforms or on the broker. I suspected my broker of SL hunting back in the day. I did a few clicks here and there and found an FTP folder with MT4 plugins a brokerage could load to spin the odds in the brokerage's favor through SL hunting...generating fake fx feed data etc. Hence I'm not using MT4 anymore, because I feel THE PLATFORM MT4 plays both sides of the fence. I know what I saw and it was a few weeks after, that I couldn't access the folder anymore. Back then I copied the zip files and open them up and investigated them...I know what I saw....I'm done with MT because they allowed such software and maybe that is why they are open-source...to save their buts by not being liable...
now, the broker, these are the types I know:
The MM (Maker Maker): if the broker is NOT connected to a proper exchange, they would call themselves a market maker and they can give you VERY low spreads...because they are on the other side receiving your trade, and if you profit YOU PROFIT directly from their bank account meaning they lose...CONFLICT OF INTEREST RIGHT THERE... If they claim they are regulated then all that means is their feeds are real market data feed in my opinion BUT they are allowed to manipulate the spread which is their profit... I recall a personal experience trading the NFP news. Just before the news came out I would open trades in both directions to hedge myself in MT4 and on the clock, my EA would set both trade's SLs and activate a trial SL in the profit direction....this approach worked twice (2 months) very well with my broker in a row but all of the sudden my trades was not stopped out on the 3rd month and I was forced to take a small loss by closing the 2 trades...I investigated and I just got "invalid stop loss" errors...after investigation, I concluded they made the spread so ridiculously big that my stop losses would not kick in because they would fall within the spread... nor my trailing SL be activated...I had no proof of this as the spread was not logged anyway so I would be able to recall the values...the point is, they can do how they please...it is their market hence they are called a market maker... I don't trust MMs because back then when I looked at their regulatory bodies the IEC just urged me to steer away from them on the IEC site...I don't know if it is still the case today on their site and if they have some regulations in place now but forex cant be regulated globally... There is a reason why they can give such low spreads because they don't pay anyone anything and when they start losing money only THEN does their true ethicality gets tested. I'm sure there are ethical MMs out there but they are few...and I have not found any yet.
The ECN broker: these brokers claim they are connected to the interbank exchange network and if such a claim can be effectively proven then you would want to use that broker. Why? because you would then be on a true exchange and when you buy, then there is some bank or big shot exchanging with you when you want to sell your dollars. The other benefit ECN had was it solved the conflict of interest problem (that a MM had) because of the exchange happening and the broker was only allowed to make money on a commission-based approach. Your broker would receive a flat commission per trade and was NOT allowed to modify the spread like a MM...the spread was the interbank or the ECN spread they received...so in short, it allowed the Banks to modify the spread as it is their commission, so the bank was the true MM now (joke) ;) however, if they did the same with the spread as my broker above I"M SURE the regulators would be on top of the manner as the visibility of such an act would be global... so ECN was the shenanigans back then and there was a time I swore by ECN brokers. Then,
I started to ask questions out of the box, who regulates ECN, or WHO determines the meaning of ECN, and what have they deemed an ECN to be...I could not find such a regulatory body that represented ECN. If there are such now please respond to my comment. Why I searched for such a body because as I dug deeper into my newly found awesome broker. They mentioned they were an ECN because they use the commission-based approach on certain accounts AND they have MM accounts too. SO, I could choose what I want...very weird. I dug deeper and I found they were connected to a "dark liquidity pool" mentioning the invested companies' names, which basically meant that they sent my trades to the liquidity providers and they (my broker) would take a commission on the trade. So my broker would receive rates from the ECN (liquidity providers) and place trades on my behalf through the ECN to the liquidity providers. I was certain my trades got sent through the ECN as my broker would not take any risk anymore because they earn a small commission and it is not worth taking the risk for, sot the liquidity provider would receive the trade... So my trade information would be sent to the liquidity provider...
so I learned an ECN can call themselves ECN if they charge a commission and don't really care to whom they send your trade to (banks or liquidity providers) because everyone (us traders) just asked if a broker where ECN and they had commission-based accounts because it solved the conflict of interest... I then asked my broker if the liquidity providers know where my SLs are and I can't recall the true answer however if they close the trade (buy or sell) with the provider I was certain that they had this information. I just know I started trading without an SL, after all this, until my trades were in the green and then I would kick-start a trailing SL. Not the best trading strat BUT I STARTED WINNING...for a year and 8 months I won. I'm not giving advice here please note this. I'm just saying if you start winning big you get noticed. The fact of the madder is there is NO ECN regulator. I sent emails asking for such a regulator to the Australian and US regulators and they could not provide me with who defines what an ECN broker is and how are they regulated...
I remember me being very confused because I understood the benefits of liquidity pools...they allow your trades to execute seamlessly FAST...so on the one hand I wanted the liquidity pools...I then realized that the liquidity provider would be also in a conflict of interest if they had extra info on my trades (like SL) because then we can have a Robinhood scenario where my broker might be forced to intervene or get bullied by the liquidity providers like Robinhood was bullied. To recap, Robinhood broker didn't allow the public to sell game stock and prevented more people from buying ...but the hedge funds were allowed to sell thus letting the hedge funds bail out leaving the public unable to act on the account (sell or buy) so that the liquidity providers don't lose anymore. A lot of people were left with huge debts because the huge sell-off from the hedge funds affected the value of the stock...they effectively stole from the poor and gave to the rich...
It's all about trust and I believe there to be none, trade like your broker is your enemy and I have found to succeed BUT I took a lot of risk trading in such a way, and in 2020 May when covid struck I was on the wrong side...even if it was for such a short time... I can just say ouch...
