This is literally the first video I've seen of yours and I think you can call yourself "The MASTER Collector" because this is so cool !!! SUBSCRIBED !!!
When you see the total amount you say, that's a lot of money to spend on play sets. But when you think about the journey to collect all this, the stories behind them, and the historical value, someone can see why you are doing this. Great work my friend!!!!!
Just want to start by saying that i love watching your video's! Its great to see someone so happy and passionate about collecting so thank you!! I started recollecting 6 years ago thanks to my wife as she got me a figure bundle from ebay, ive got 15 figures left to collect. I only own 2 playsets, the ewok village which is in excellent condition and i only have the 3 post fence missing and i have the jabba the hutt playset which again is in excellent condition i dont have the boxes but i have all mine on display in scenes from the movie's. My next playset is definitely gonna be the dagobah one. Can't wait to see you start the vehicle collection.
@@thepadawancollectorofficial It's 13 now just got the death star droid and the fx7 medical droid both in really good condition too! Found them both on vinted alot cheaper than ebay! I just wish I'd have started collecting again years ago before the prices got ridiculous!!
Wow Joey! Watching this video recap was awesome. Seeing all the different playsets that you acquired, and going back over the versions that you picked up, and how your collecting of this run progressed was a ton of fun. You definitely have some gems in there that I would love to have in my collection. It's crazy when you tally up all the dollars you spent, but I feel it was well worth it. And I'm sure, after seeing some of the unused contents sets that you picked up, that you may go back and reacquire some of the original sets that you didn't get in that condition. I've basically been doing the same thing for the last 2 years as well. It's a little wild how our buying "requirements" elevate as we move along in our collecting. As for your grand total, I figured your playset run would be pretty close to the same amount that your figure run was, and seeing the amounts at the end, I wasn't far off. Looks like you spent a total of $19, 467.45. 🤯 Seems a little insane when you look at that as a whole, but it's hard to put a price on the joy that those items bring to you. I know that's how I feel personally. Worth every penny. 🥰 And while this was an exciting video, hearing all the runs that you have ahead of you, that really gets me stoked. I'm (re)collecting right along with you, making it all that much more special and fun. Keep up the great work and congratulations on wrapping up another run my friend. ❤
Thank you so much Josh! Again it was a super fun run and I learned so much! Thank you for being there with me on this journey, it meant a lot to have your feedback and help :)
You do a great job and produce absolutely tiptop professional videos sir. So interesting and so rich with details.and information. THANK YOU for sharing with the collectors community!
It’s amazing how hard we actually played with our toys but some of the cardboard is still around!!! We actually went outside and played!! I rarely see kids doing this these days!
I remember buying the Cloud City playset from Sears back in the day when it came out. Much to my chagrin, I've lost all the little white pegs that you insert into the cardboard so that the figures can stand. Any idea where I can buy them?
Well, when ever you get tired of having your ESB Droid Factory, I'll give you $1,255😂👌 That's a nice Dagobah playset you got for a great price 👍 That one you have is even the rarer one with the alternate photo on the box. It's referred to as the printed offer version. It came out later, maybe that's why the foam is still good, they must've improved it a little. Happy collecting bro 😎🤙
I'm really sorry that you couldn't have been with me in the 90s when I was running all over the lower mainland (Vancouver) looking for everything Star Wars. Not as much available then, no ebay etc, but still a load of fun.
If you ever manage to get a good, clear original Palitoy DS canopy to replace the yellowed one (it looks like somebody had been blowing smoke into it! Ew!) whatever you do, keep it out of ANY kind of light; it's light that does that. I only know as mine stayed clear because it had spent 40 years locked in a dark cupboard! ✌️
I remember my mom asking the clerk at KB toy store why the jawa was so expensive. He said because his cape was hand made.😂 It was $4.99😂... Plastic cape was $2.99
Wow, what shocked me was that the playsets cost almost the same as the full set of loose figures! I thought you would have paid about thirty thousand just for all the loose ones because they just seemed more expensive to me, but I had no idea the playsets would be this expensive, I was thinking maybe 5,000 for all the playsets. but i mean i know nothing just was a laymans guess.
I bought several of the Star Wars playsets I owned as a child over the past five years. I got most of the sets I originally owned. I had to buy replicas of the cardboard Cloud City and original cardboard Cantina bc originals are just too costly. 💰 if I saw some other sets at prices/condition I considered reasonable I would buy a few more sets that I never owned as a child but I have the ones I liked the most that I owned as a child.
Yea some of these had real nosebleeds. I think the cantina adventure playset could have been the mostly in unused condition. Prices for that I saw for around 4,000
I remember watching a You Tube video of Rick Springfield’s collection when he was interviewed about it by Rolling Stone. He showed MOC Uzay figures that looked fantastic. I might be wrong but I think he sold his collection in 2019, I think there was an article about it as he had said previously he wouldn’t sell. Tried finding the article but it’s behind a pay wall for the Telegraph online.
hey i was wondering, what is your age? I am 49. Reason I ask is you said you had some star wars toys as a child so i was wondering how close you & I are in age.
It’s daunting how much it costs or how much my existing collection could be worth! Great job as always Joey!! I sent you a message a couple weeks ago on your padawan DM and email. Please check 😁 Well worth your time😁MTFBWY!!!😁 James D, Chicago😁

This is very true. The journey for my collection has no price tag indeed

Where you get the foot pegs for cardboard cantina
I had to find them being sold on Facebook
Thanks for doing this.
I'm always interested in what a collector had spent.
Sorry you weren't able to make it to the convention.
Thanks for the video
Thanks T!

Thanks UK Sith! I’m really glad you found this video useful! Thanks for the kind words and for taking the time to watch and comment :)
Great stuff! I just got a Canadian Kenner Death Star - that thing is fun! Great work, Joey!
Wow congrats on scoring that!
Great video joe! Waiting for more. I'll be patient...lol
Haha thanks Andy! The next series is starting up soon :)

Yea I think every toy I had got put through the dirt and mud at some point!
I remember buying the Cloud City playset from Sears back in the day when it came out. Much to my chagrin, I've lost all the little white pegs that you insert into the cardboard so that the figures can stand. Any idea where I can buy them?
I would look on the Facebook groups first to see if anyone has put them up

Dude thanks for the info Scott, I didn’t know that!
Do you also factor travel expenses like airfare, hotels and rental cars?
I started to, but no, those aren’t in here because my channel is monetized and those are now businesses expenses for me
Final cost? $19,467.45 Thanks for bringing us along on your journey. I've enjoyed every video!
That’s a great guess!!!! I’ll reveal the winner and number when the video goes public :)
I'm really sorry that you couldn't have been with me in the 90s when I was running all over the lower mainland (Vancouver) looking for everything Star Wars. Not as much available then, no ebay etc, but still a load of fun.
Dude that would be been epic to have been hunting back then, even going on road trips to complete a collection
@@thepadawancollectorofficial it totally was. I recall getting the 12 inch boba fett in 97, it was incredible. My all time favourite item.
Great job...... That was fun.
Thanks! I’m really honored that you enjoyed it!
Grand total: $19,467.45
Great guess 🙌🏼. I’ll let the winner know a day after the video Premieres!!! Good luck!

I did get some of these in unused condition. I could have saved a lot more if I got them in used condition

Just a little trivia, Rick Springfield is a big Starwars collector :-)
I would love to interview him and get a tour of his collection :)

Going to do a price update for the vintage action figures then it’s on to vehicles!!
$21,321 🧐
Great guess! I will let the winner know soon. The contest is open to RUclips members and Patreon members
