As a longtime landlord, I know what these landlords and property managers go through. The fact that they actually had to PAY the tenants to leave shows how inefficient and unfair the court system is.

I am. I own two flats here in Ghana that I have rented out. The first tenant was a devil. A very foolish person who doesn't deserve any support from a normal human being.

Well , You see there are people that wanted the public distracted as much as possible , the people that really rules the world.
They make rules to be abused , I mean there are many ways to prevent such things.
Why do you think thievery in USA looks like normal, walking in and grabbing things and walk out with it and nothing is gonna happen. and news outlet and social media are like covering it left and right(as if its like theyre advertising it so that others will do it) . in very few state.

I let out my 3 bedroom flat to a church member. I never bothered him and his girlfriend. I got so tired of them that I increased the rent to kick them out for their constant disturbances. They left the place destroyed. On top of it, they had done an illegal electricity connection. It cost me a fortune to restore my apartment. A new family is living there now. So far, no problem. We only fight over the plantain when it is ready for harvest. We both love it. They pay their rent on time. When they delay, they give me a ahead notice. I am never bothered because I don't allow money to control me.

Well it depends where you live in Canada because every province has its own laws regarding renting. For example in Quebec it takes about 2 months to kick someone out for non-payment but in Ontario it can take up to a year. I think laws have to be changed for both sides...

If a tenant owed rent to a member of parliament would said member be so lenient? Or would he have private investigators give a heads up when the tenant left the building for a while and member of parliament then changed the locks??? Pretty sure the courts wouldn't say it's inhumane!

i dont get how these characters are allowed to rent in the 1st place? Surely they would not pass even the simplest of credit and reference checks? In the UAE if you dont pay the rent for 30days, the landlord can evict.

After binge-watching 3 seasons of this, I can categorically state that I abhor both tenants and landlords equally. The mischaracterization of the cat renters at 32:00 seems politically motivated and not fair-minded. I would hope that in future there can be some editorial review.

So glad I don’t live back home, rent is too high and it keeps rising. Wages meanwhile are static and rent is barely affordable. Personally I love my country, but I’m glad I’m abroad.

I assume Section 8 means something comepletely different in the UK than is does in the USA? In the USA it is a government program that pays partial rent for lower income people, and they have to follow the rules, or the tenant loses their Section 8 subsidy.

I swear in Bulgaria, 9 times out of 10.. if you do something to someone like this (the law don't allow it) but hypothetically if it was the same laws like in the UK. You will besically go out of the home one day and never come back and someone will find you decomposing somewhere.
