Ryan mentioned his buffness in a dead pool interview out of all places. He just got done filming The Blade movie he was in so he was still jacked From that role. This role didn't require him to be fit the just showed up fit
The only real paranormal (if you can even call it that) thing about the Amytiville controversy is the fact that Ronny DeFeo managed to kill his entire family with a shotgun and the family was asleep at the time of death and no one knew what happended until he confessed, that is actually the really scary aspect of the whole thing.
If I remember correctly they suspect the older sister helped him. Together they tied the rest of the family up or something. They had an argument and he shot her as well afterwards. It would explain why none of them got out of bed when they heard gunshots. Although they never found any rope that I know of.
The only one who can really tell the whole thing is Ronny DeFeo Jr. himself and he went completely batshit, to this day he says he was possessed when he did the crime. And anyone from that neighborhood, is dead, too old or don't know what the hell happened. I honestly think that the Lutzs hoax overshadowed the murders and since the whole thing is at best an exagerated account of alleged paranormal events and at worse a carefully planned hoax and nobody is willing to discuss the DeFeo murders without the Amytville movie and/or book as an albatross around this mess' neck :P
Tell me about it, man, the actual DeFeo murders freaks me out most of all, MOST OF ALL the fact that none of the neighbors heard the gunshots?! I know there are silencers but I think they said the rifle didn't have one? AND Ronny went totally nuts...and there's the bit that he was allegedly having an affair with his sister Dawn and if she really did help him kill the family...like what did they plan on happening AFTERWARD? YIKES:(
@@jemofthe80s18 Hmm. Not admitting you heard gunshots and not hearing gunshots are two different things. I remember they used to tell you to keep your car keys with you so you could set off your car alarm if something went wrong. Except no one reacts to car alarms in any way that would help you. It's too easy to just lie or ignore or blame something else for the noise. House alarms are pretty similar. I've had one go off and nothing was done, no one showed up, nothing. That's my guess, if they heard them then they just ignored it. And that falls in line with what I know of humans.
I just discovered this channel and I'm truly enjoying the reviews. They're a great mix of silly and astute! His passion for horror flicks (and movies in general) really comes through and they almost give me a MonsterVision vibe. Keep it up!
I absolutely love that movie and my favorite part is where he asks Renfield to hurry out of the mad house window and you just see his body fall in front of the camera. Never gets old.
I know this is 4 years late, but I live by the house where the remake was filmed in Silver Lake, Wisconsin and apparently that house is haunted as well.
The real George sued the film makers because he didn't liked the depiction of him in the movie, I don't blame him and he won. 19:57 - 20:10 an actual fart joke that was funny!!!
12:27- It would be interesting and kind of funny if they made a horror movie where only the dog survives at the end. When the authorities show up and take the innocent battered animal away to safety, the camera could do a close up on his/her eyes, implying that only the pet knows the truth of what happened and the rest of the world will never know the full story. But yeah, the Amityville house is one place I would never spend so much as a night in, not even for a million dollars. Whether the stories are based upon something real or not, a price cannot be placed on the potential risk or loss of my sanity. In regards to the remake, I remember years ago having a hard time buying Ryan Reynolds as the killer because I knew his usual charm and likable personality, which made his role less believable. Today however, I realize that that was the point and made his gradual descent into madness more tragic, provided one could judge in context of the character and not the actor himself. With Josh Brolin in the original, I got the same impression from watching Jack Nicholson in The Shining, even before I knew the plot, that he was likely going to be the bad guy. Both actors in their roles already appeared a little crazy, which undermined the transformation, although I will say that Nicholson's performance is still by far one of the best in psychological horror.
Fun fact, Reynolds actually requested to have his shirt off a lot in this film because he wanted to show off his body from all the training he didn for Blade Trinity
My goodness, you have been doing this for quite a good while already (almost a decade) yet i only discovered you a few months ago. I feel i owe you domekund of appology. Please never stop.

I didn't know Ryan Reynolds was in a horror movie... that's so cool :D He's my favorite actor especially for Deadpool 1 and 2! He's good in RIPD too despite the movie lame humor and Roy( seriously this guy was a jerk with Nick XS The only thing who was cool or interresting about him is his combat skills, beside that the rest was annoying.) I also like Ryan in the coffin movie; forgot the name but he was locked in a coffin during days and weird stuff happened. It was thrilling!
.... I double-checked my True Fax: Ryan Reynolds shot this movie immediately after wrapping on BLADE: TRINITY. That's why he's so buff.
From Vampires to ghosts to ALIENS!!! What horror movie hasn't Ryan Reynolds been in?

Ryan Reynolds shirtless was the best thing about the remake for me. Not accurate granted but still made it more watchable. Not just for women anymore.
I agree, the only best content of this remake 👀
You're like the only other person I know (including myself) that likes Dracula: Dead and Loving It.
I shall join this select club :P
People don't like that movie? It's one of my favorite Mel Brooks spoofs...really damn funny.
That movie is a gem. Renfield's last line make me laugh out loud no matter how many times I watch the film.

"It's like they make a movie about Al Capone and instead of casting a heavy person they cast a good looking physically fit guy..."
Uhm... well...
I think I'm cursed. Whenever I say something like that, Hollywood then does them. It's like they're messing with me. Am I being watched? *shifty eyes*

This is a super reply but I completely agree. He’s excellent in Smokin Aces, especially at the end.
the theme reminds me of the opening of Pet Sematary
The opening to ghost ship though.
The opening to The Collection also

I might be wrong on this but wasn't the Texas chainsaw massacre based off the ed gein killings?

They are cheap and don’t scare.
Hey, what's the entrance movie called
review the remake of poltergeist please
+TheGuyWithATail I was at the store the other day and saw that it came out. It won't be the next one but soon.
+StitchedTogetherPics alright! That sounds cool. Btw, I love your reviews XD they're very original
+StitchedTogetherPics Did you know the roll of George, was written for no other, then, The one and Only, " Dawson". I don't think I could see him in that roll. disturbed
"Doesn't this movie take place in December?"
"Hey asshole, maybe that's why you're always cold."
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Yeah the remake was good but I like the original better because it's older, closer to the story, mysterious, and the music really fits 100%
not to mention the guy that plays George also played in Deadpool movie the pressure though you play the great Deadpool
The remake is actually the first film I've seen Ryan Reynolds in. It doesn't take away the creepiness that both of this movies have.
Anyone notice that Chelsea looks like mini Chole Mortez. WAIT! That is Chole!
