The game of my childhood. Both my parents would play this. And each one would be good at beating certain levels. We just called it Dash, having no idea what Dash meant (since we spoke Russian).
I never liked this charset. Back in the day, I preferred to play the game in the original look and feel. There was a release called "Boulder Dash Pro" which consisted of the same levels while preserving the graphics everyone was used to.
Boulder Dash was absolutely brilliant in its simplicity. But it took forever to truly master; you had to make really strategic decisions in most levels. Never got the higher skill levels finished, though--gem quotas go up, everything speeds up, and various tweaks appear in each cave to screw you over.
Very well played. I love Boulder Dash. I used to play them alot on my C-64. This one was the worst though. I don't like the whole space-theme. A few of the map really sucks and it's horribly balanced in the beginning (you go up to 9 lives before you hit the first Intermission). I used to have a hard time completing Cave K, but I can see you way of approach seems to be a lot better than mine (or at least you make it look easy).
not logic player , every boulder dash player will be collect so many diamonds he can many time enough but not collecting more diamonds , not know why not
Oh my god the memories! Used to call it "Moon BoulderDash"
i also prefer the classic theme of BD, but this one has really tricky caves. I love the way you completed the extra caves and cave J. well done!
There were a few C16 games similar to Boulderdash, one excellent one where you played as Santa and a total apology of a "game" called Rockman.

I remeber this game easier (but still hard) as I and II
2:30 aargh that sound....
that....is confusing as hell. I would expect that you could dig through brick, NOT THROUGH METAL o_0
Anyway, you're a good player. I would love to see somebody complete level 4 or 5 for Boulder Dash 1 to 3. Maybe you're up for a challenge ? :)
Level 3 is impossible in Boulderdash 3. You can not even get out to explore the level.
+++🐸🛃++++OH YES+++🤩🥰🛂+++LOVE IT+++
Very nice speedrun-ish longplay! I think this game is worse than BD1/2. but there are also some nice caves!
