    Great tool.There is a paddle switch type of this grinder but in my country there is only this with slide one.I prefer so much with paddle, it feels much better than slide one.

    Just came across this review, Probably the best review out there I’ve seen of this grinder. Also very interesting information.

      You went Into depth about the grinder very well and explained it very well, it was also good the fact that you did quick comparisons with other grinders, I found that that gave it more information also. You also explained the battery’s very well, also the cuts you did at the start was well done. And you also explained the case it came in and also did a quick talk comparison about the other Dewalt case. Good video!

    5 8mm rebars evenly smoothly cut in less than a minute? Ok amazon here I come. I for sure know it will eat through tile work. Thanks for this video sir!

      Thank you for watching! I’ve never used it for tile work but it does do a good job cutting concrete blocks - not as fast and easy as my corded grinders but still pretty good

      @@toolreviewsandrestorations Nice! I just ordered a flexvolt version of this just now with a wannabe flexvolt battery. I'm going to run some test myself and tell you about it. You might be more impressed with the flex version because it's more powerful due to the battery output. Decided to get a couple tile blades too. THanks for your vid, it was the perfect way to tell me to stay dewalt

    My grinders are all corded,ALDI brand, and a couple of black and decker models I only use the ALDI ones for sanding as they are variable speed I have a Ryobi 18v cordless one too good review 👍

      @@toolreviewsandrestorations not sure I haven't seen the Parkside ones, as we don't have a lidle in Australia at present they're 5 inch/ 125mm,I have 2 different types 1is 900 watt, the other is 1150 Watts both have a 6 speed adjustable dial on the side so you can turn the speed up for angle grinding and down for sanding or polishing they are Taurus & workzone brand names cheers 👍🇦🇺

    Just bought this grinder today, only thing I dont like is the screw to lock on the disk on but thats a easy fix

    Hey great vid. Do you have to hold the on/off button down or can it lock in the ON position?

    • @toolreviewsandrestorations
      @toolreviewsandrestorations  Год назад +1

      There are two variations of this grinder, one with a normal slide switch and one with a paddle switch. Mine has the slide switch on it so once I turn it on it is locked on

      I have the locking slider...can get annoying and be dangerous... short burst usage, I recommend the one with the paddle switch.

    • @toolreviewsandrestorations

      @@lorenzorockwell5919 I suppose that depends on personal preference, I much prefer the slide switch. I have a die grinder with a paddle switch and I won't be buying another one anytime soon. Thanks for watching!

    Hi . Big fan of your videos. You have several battery platforms. Dewalt, makita etc. Have you ever considered buying milwaukee and what's your view on milwaukee.? Thanks.

    • @toolreviewsandrestorations
      @toolreviewsandrestorations  2 года назад +4

      I do occasionally passively consider Milwaukee. I have no experience with them. If you want to know my view on Milwaukee (with no experience), here it is:
      I think that they look like good tools, they have a large selection of them. Their corded tools look good too. The reason why I’ve never bought any is mainly because in this country they are way more expensive than the others, Makita, dewalt… and I mean not just a few bucks but normally about one and a half times more.
      Milwaukee used to have a ton of 12v and 18v tools that no one else had but in the last few years they’ve been relatively quite whereas Makita and Dewalt (the 18v platforms I do have) have been releasing so many new tools that there really isn’t a tool Milwaukee has that Dewalt or Makita doesn’t have.
      The m12 Milwaukee platform is the biggest one out there of 12v tools but again Dewalt is really putting effort into their 12v line at the moment and I already have some Dewalt 12v batteries.
      Currently I’m focusing on buying corded tools and Milwaukee really doesn’t have the greatest selection of those available.
      I’m sure they’re great tools, I’ve just never really had a reason to buy any.
      Thank you for watching.

      @@toolreviewsandrestorations You may be interested in the DCG409...its the slide switch Flexvolt Advantage...however it is very expensive still here in the UK. (Your version stateside is the DCG416-paddle switch)

    • @toolreviewsandrestorations
      @toolreviewsandrestorations  2 года назад +2

      Thank you for mentioning that grinder but I’m not interested in the flex advantage tools at the moment. If I did buy it though it would be the dcg409 since I much prefer the slide switch to the paddle and as far as I know it’s the only one available here…
