I really enjoyed this series, it just popped up on my feed & I'm very glad it did, I subscribed! I appreciate your perspective on restoring the radio without a lot of expensive tools, gadgets, etc. My only thought was I probably would have used a polarized line cord, but that's just me! LOL Looking forward to the next series!

Of course, the "orange" could just be tar & nicotine, lol. I say that with love as I sit here with my Camel cigarette, because they suit my T zone to a T :) I have a radio about that size with a crack in the top and it's made of an old plastic called Plaskon. Some day I want to figure out a way to repair it like Don over at RestoreOldRadios does. Until then I'll just live with the crack. I usually use Johnson's wax on my sets too, with the exception of my old '33 Philco. As it was the first cabinet I refinished I used dark brown Briwax as I saw someone else on youtube do. I put it on the bare wood instead of clear lacquer first. However, I do like the way it turned out and to look at it you'd never know that the only spot with lacquer on it is the area where the PHILCO waterslide decal is. I erased a couple of waterslides with that Briwax till I figured out I should lacquer over the decal first, LOL. Live and learn.

    Greetings:
The service sheets say the brown cabinets are plastic, while the white ones are urea.

Thank you for a very enjoyable series. What type of applicator did you use with the Brasso? The radio looks & sounds good.

Pretty sure they have stopped making Johnson’s Paste Wax so treasure your can! Hard to believe given its utility.

I have heard that as well. Too “old fashioned” I suspect. Thanks for watching.

Hehheh heh, that's pretty good Johny, but that ain't the way I heered it! The way I heered it one feller say's to the other feller, "Sayeyeyeyeyyyy he say's, I see to where some feller posted Episode 3 from April 30, 1935. Now why didn't he pick out 1 n 2 first?" The other feller say's "I guess he's takin' em as they come".
