Gopal Mukherjee had meat shops in the College Street and Ganja Park at Bhawanipore in Kolkata. His uncle Anukul Chandra Mukhopadhyay masterminded the Rodda Company Arms robbery in 1919, which were distributed among revolutionaries in Bengal. So by virtue of belonging to Anukul Chandra 's extended family at Malanga lane he grew up among revolutionaries and associates.

Jogen Mondal was not at all a Communist Party Member. He had his own party consisting of NamaSudras of East Bengal and collaborated with Muslim League for Pakistan. But after creation of Pakistan he had to flee to India leaving behind his followers in that country.

My ancestral house was in dorjipara in North Calcutta. My extended family knew Gopal Patha.
Bengali Hindus and the overall Hindu community of Bengal province should respect "Gopal Patha" as their Saviour and true "freedom fighter" but what a shame! no Bengali film directors made any movies on him, but they made movies about gangsters and mafias. This shows a lack of gratitude in the Hindu community. Hindu politicians shunned Gopal patha to the shady corner of history, for minority appeasement.
