- This is my simple minimalist morning routine.. i try to incorporate some healthy habits such as the cold shower and stretching to really set me up for success though-out the rest of my day and get me into the right mindset..

The Phone trick is soooo important. I never got out of bed but after I placed my smartphone on the other side of the room with my favorite Song as a ringtone I actually like getting out of bed.
That's a great idea I should change it to a song I just have this wicked annoying beep

Awesome Smile you have Gabe. I brush four to five times a day, a habit from childhood and was voted nicest smile in yearbook. The flossing habit came better when I had kids and mouthwash habit.

I too do the cold at the end of my regular shower. That’s easier for me to bear than jumping straight into a cold shower and at least I can get all nice and clean in warmth rather than rushing through bc I’m cold (and screaming) from the get go
No cold one here. I always had my boys in and out of the shower to save water. But now one of them likes a longer one and it is just something that is an inexpensive luxury as we don't have a water bill where we live now.
Great Video. My acupuncturist suggested drinking a warm to hot glass of water first in the morning as well. It wakes up your organs and makes you feel better. Thanks for sharing

Your morning routine is very relaxing, but at the same time it is functional. Shows one does not have to do things all at once in the mornings. Having a regular routine is great. I'm still figuring out my morning routine. Thanks again Gabe for an awesome video.
Usually my morning routine is to take my time waking up. If I need more sleep I sleep a little longer. I reflect on the day before. As I progress my afternoons & nights are packed.
I pay myself daily first each day. I usually have a youtube video, book, or podcast to listen to. I fill my mind with good stuff. I take notes, implement and start new habits.
I delegate my kids schedule to them so they can be independent learners and doers.
I then serve my family with my homemaking. That's midmorning.
Protecting my mornings from business calls or errands as much as I can is productive.
Afternoons are classes and extra cleaning, organizing with errands and than work. Exercise and other opportunities within this daily structure/ weekly plan.
My weekends are a break from the M-F Schedule.

It's definitely helped me a lot just taking 30 seconds or 5 minutes a few times a day to stay loose has definitely helped

My morning routine consists of scrambling to make lunches, yell at kids to get out of bed and frantically try and find where all of the masks went as my golden retriever runs around the house with them playing the chasing game. I’m usually in slippers with wet hair as I throw the kids on the bus and wave happily as the bus drives away.
Like a 3-4 hour morning routine lol. Would be late to work if I did all this

My morning routine: wake up at 4.30 am every day... try to get to work in time and fully dressed. Most of the time I don't forget to change out of my PJ's...

I think the lamp was on clearance at Lowe's and the other one was off of Facebook marketplace
LMAO with you falling outta bed! And I don't think laying your clothes out the night before is weird! I literally get my suits. Shirts, etc ready for my entire week on Sundays. And the drinking water is dehidrating...you go for 8+hours during the night. It's great to to drink water first thing in the am, it gives all your organs a jump start. I did cold showers as well and now do what you do with warm to cold! Just that quick shot of cold helps your metabolism

Yep first things first
Prep. Lay clothes out. Pack work bag. Mix morning breakfast shake.
5 a.m. Wake.
5:05. Shower.
5:15. Dress.
5:20. Coffee.
5:30. Brush teeth.
5:35. Stare at the wall for a few minutes because...
5:40. Wake kids. Get them dressed. Get them to brush their teeth. Get them to brush their hair. Get them to pack their things that they were supposed to pack the night before.
6:10. Out the door.
6:19. Drop kids at before-care. Drink shake while driving.
6:33. Arrive at work.
6:40. Right click "Daily" folder on my bookmarks bar and click "Open all". Drag various tabs to various screens.
6:44. Sign in to Google Meet for my first group of virtual students.
6:45. Stand at my door to greet face-to-face students. (Yes, teaching both at the same time does suck.) They are eating breakfast in the classroom due to social distancing concerns.
7:05. Begin first period.
Teacher/Parent Life...
The "stare at the wall for a few minutes" is probably more valuable than you realize 😁

I always lay out my clothes the night before. 😁😜
I do before work. I also wear a heavier shoe to help me slow down and remember to pace myself. If I lose control of the floor as a server, it will only get worse.

I can't imagine eating breakfast! 😁 My mind is clearer, I have more energy and I try to push my first meal as late in the day as possible, I get more done that way, and I always start with fruit, something easy that doesn't shock my system into getting started
I know this isn't a consumer channel. Still good quality is minimal too. What headphones are You using. They look perfect.

As a teacher my morning routine has to be fast and quick. I feel like your morning routine takes a couple hours where mine has to be done in half an hour and out the door so I can teach. Many people don't have the luxury of being able to take this much time.
I think it depends on what time you get up... which depends what time you go to bed. And also how many things occupy your time throughout the day. When I embraced minimalism I gradually had way more time to allocate towards things I wanted to do. I realized in my own life that I just was doing way too many things that wasted time and energy and once I cut that out suddenly my days felt.... slower and less rushed. now I get up at 6, do several things on my to-do list whether they are creative or self-care related or sometimes I get an hour of remote work in to get a head start on my day, and then I’m out the door by 8.
I also am in bed by 10:30pm. But I have done so much more in the past 2 years of my life than I have the other 35 lol. I learned a ton of skills that I had been putting off just by cutting out the excess. It’s different for everyone but a self-limiting belief I used to have was that I don’t have enough time due to ....all the things I need to do. This kept me thinking that there’s no other possible way to do life. I was stuck bc I didn’t accept that I have the ability to make a change and demand better from my time and energy. And I don’t know if it’s fair to state that some people have more time bc ... of their specific occupation or whatever. I think we CAN accept that we just all prioritize our time differently.
I personally don’t know if I consider time to be a luxury.... or something that is elusive. I consider it more of a right that we all should have if we take it and put it towards whatever really matters most.
These are just my humble thoughts.
