    Absolutely love the USA Light. Smaller diameter allows better packing AND the stretch it has bites the tree better than the heavier diameter amsteel. Strongly recommend getting the 8' length. The double wrap around the tree is so solid the sticks don't budge! Who wants to climb down in the dark and fumble with a loose stick? Worth every penny. Don't wait on these boys!

    These are easy enough to make yourself. I've made 5 myself for my sticks and platform

      I'm sure I could learn but I like support the Amsteel guy. He's a Michigan-based company.

    So crazy how that light tie holds that weight. Looks sturdy once set though

      The working load on that small rope is nuts. The Amsteel is impressive.

    That's slick. I will probably suffer one more year with the cam buckles, but that's definitely a future upgrade.

      I'd recommend the Original USA

      @@MichiganAmBushOutdoors that's it! That's exactly what I have! I was doing it so wrong! Thanks alot, and I also like the tip at the end of video. Nobody is showing this at all, they keep showing the USA light. I will not be using this for stix but instead I'm using them for my predator platform.

      You're welcome. I'm glad that the video helped out. The pro series and the ability to use the tender is a really nice option.

    Excellent demo of product and comparison. Thanks. I wonder about using these rope mods in sub freezing weather. Do you have experience with that?

    • @MichiganAmBushOutdoors
      @MichiganAmBushOutdoors  2 года назад

      I'm not sure about sub-freezing but I hunted well into the late season with the USA’s and never had any issues.

    Is the lite jus 1/8 without full bury? And continuous 7/64 loop?

    • @MichiganAmBushOutdoors
      @MichiganAmBushOutdoors  Год назад

      Yes, the USA LITE features a 7/64” Swabish knot rated for 320 lbs safe working load and a 1/8” mainline with a 500lb safe working load.

    Hey I know sam.makes one specifically for a platform but could you use these ropes for a predator platform?

    • @MichiganAmBushOutdoors
      @MichiganAmBushOutdoors  2 года назад

      You really shouldn't to be safe.
      The ones made for the platform have a higher safe working load.

    Why not take the versa button of the lwcg doublestep and use the side tabs to secure it? One less thing to clank and you can still wrap it tight with amsteel.

    • @MichiganAmBushOutdoors
      @MichiganAmBushOutdoors  2 года назад +1

      I could but I wouldn't be able to tie the stick as I do. If I ran them without the versa button, I would use the cam buckle but I'm going to most likely stick to the singles. I think they lock better to the tree and you don't have to worry about kickouts.

    • @MichiganAmBushOutdoors
      @MichiganAmBushOutdoors  Год назад

      Buckles are fast but packing them on the stand and having to deal with the noise sucks. I prefer the original USA’s which are pretty quick to tie.

      Have fun with the extra weight, clanging and possible failures. Cam buckles suck.

      @@MichiganAmBushOutdoors I do believe your way is safer because those buckles can fail or slip I've had it happen and so have friends of mine that's why I always use 2 buckles with the LW not one !!! I would recommend everyone does!!
