    It is interesting and amaze me that the life that the most people are sought for nowadays was the life I had growing up in the Philippines. We can just walk in the river banks and find beans, papaya, guava, avocado and other fruits that nobody planted. But, the thing is, when you grew up that way, you always wondered what the outside world looks like. How it feels to evade scarcity, how it feels to have electricity, television, to be in an elevator, to have a nice clothes, shoes and such. It is a fact that we people are always wanted to try a different life and environment to find happiness.

      andthenifellinlove After I gave this TedX talk I had a year full of travelling; because I saved so much money from rent and expensive junk and my mind was free to focus on the work I love and my business started growing. I have been to Japan, Caribean, Spain and I moved to Athens now. I still do what I love and travelling had made me so rich in experiences and friends!

      @@VytalityEU could you please tell us how do you succeed to befriend strangers? because i've been in a resort every year and now on new year's eve i haven't received at least one text message.

    • @VytalityEU
      @VytalityEU 5 лет назад +4

      @@globalmuffin2 I'm sorry to hear that.. We are all different people and myself I'm an introvert that is only extravert when surrounded by the right people. So I can't really tell you what to do since I'm not the most social person, but two things: in order for people to care about you, you also have to care about them. So do you reach out yourself to other people the way you want them to reach out to you? It's a two way direction. Second is to surround yourself with people that understand you and care about you, it's not a bad thing to leave people that don't belong in your life, we all take different roads sometimes and we always have to choose what is right for us and who we want in our circles. I have left so many friends and family in the past because we were moving different directions, holding on to people that don't belong in your life is exhausting. So try and figure out what you are searching for in others and find like minded people and invest in your social life. When I feel lonely i tend to hide myself from the world and break contact, while in the back of my head I know I should reach out to people and ask for help and tell them how I feel. You can't sit in a corner and expect people to magically know what's wrong, you have to do something yourself too. I hope you will find what you are looking for, the best wishes for the new year to you.

    One of the best things I took away from this is that if people are feeling suicidal they should do a bucket list. Something like OK I’ll kill myself right after I do these things. I bet you that 90% of them won’t Kill themselves.

      @VytalityEU 6 лет назад +8

      Heather Walker Thank you so much for your comment! Actually what you are saying I took out of my Tedtalk because when I made that bucketlist I was suicidal and literally thinking “I will kill myself next year after I finish the list” and then so much changed...

    ''Speed and Aggression''. ''Greed and Egoism'' These are some causes of stress. People work better with decent amount of stress, though. In order to reduce the feeling of ''stressed'', prioritizing and organizing are needed. Caring and sharing with others also reduces stress and incurs joy and satisfaction. You can do so much with little. Get rid of all the junk. Declutter. Be a minimalist. I'm suitcase-ful, so that I can enjoy moving places and travelling to places I want to see. Stuff-less makes me extremely free. Many average people try to look good and capable - that alone is stresser. Be natural and assertive to say ''no''. When you learn how to live with manageable stress, you'll miss it. Ha, ha, ha.

    • @VytalityEU
      @VytalityEU 6 лет назад +4

      Wisepersonsay True! A healthy amount of stress is needed to stay focussed. But there’s a difference between healthy stress and painful stress, spending your days doing things you hate doing is so destructive and people only realize when it’s too late and so hard to repair. People too often think they don’t have other options but truth is that they don’t want to let go of things in order to reach those other things. Security and trying to fit in society is much more comfortable to most, until you let it go and realize that none of it matters 😉

    A bucket list doesnt matter if you are homeless.

    • @VytalityEU
      @VytalityEU 5 лет назад +2

      Depends on what you put on your bucketlist, in general the things you focus on most will grow. If you focus on what you don't have that's what becomes a bigger and bigger problem, until you start focusing on what you do have and you will realize that the positives will grow. I have been homeless for a little while and so have some of my friends, by taking baby steps into reaching their goals I and them managed to grow and get out of that situation.

    Imagine if she grew up in a 3rd world country, where here LIFE would depend on working.

    • @VytalityEU
      @VytalityEU 5 лет назад +10

      I have no idea how that would be, even though I grew up in a family that went from one hospital to the other and lived on foodstamps, in a 3rd world country different issues would occur. Nobody knows how I would have been in that situation. It doesn't really matter, we don't get to choose in what situations we a born and brought up, we have to just deal with the tools that we have to make it work.

    traveling is physically stressful and it has a pretty great potential of eroding one's self, as everything to see there are drunkards and stoned people in search of a quickie.
