    Just saw him in Milwaukee 2 nights ago. My daughter told me this is her favorite musician and it would be her dream to see him. So, I got 8th row tickets, flew us from the west coast into Milwaukee and all I can say is WOW! WOW. I’ve been to some incredible concerts in my day and this man and his band is at the top of the list. Can’t wait to see him again.

    the most underrated artist out there today! If he played at the Grammys, he would blow everyone away

      yeah but would he have any costume changes? who really cares about the grammys?

    • @13magic74
      @13magic74 7 лет назад +15

      I want to agree, because I love his music, but you could say that same thing about many, many artists. Screw the Grammy's. So much great music is still "underground" and only those looking to dig deep can find it.

    I ran into this song about a month after my father died. Still don't know all the words but the words and music made me cry. I don't even know how to describe why but it did. Love my Dad.

    The lyrics to this song make me think of an elaborate country wedding and the groom either ran away or was stood up. He's drinking in the stables with the horses and wondering where it all went wrong.

      This is more bluegrass, and funny enough you’d be shocked at how many metal heads discover and love bluegrass, arguably the biggest bluegrass artist now and the fastest flat picker alive, Billy Strings was a metal head.

    This isn't country music. What we call country music is a product of Nashville, which is very different than this. Some call this more traditional music Americana. It really is a return to a more traditional American music. One of the hallmarks of which is a lack or disemphasis of percussion. Other than a simple base beat percussion in such bands is very much a product of the 20th century.

      I think it is a Green Bullet Harmonica microphone. Its generally used for harmonicas and kind of has a low-fi sound when sung through, almost like an old time recording. A lot of indie artists like them for their sonic qualities. I think Jack White has one built into one of his guitars.

    That "poem about everything" line he uses to introduce the song. I used to think that was super deep and listened to the lyrics with that in mind. Until I heard him introduce a completely different song exactly the same way in this performance: ruclips.net/video/MjKZqq0pZ80/видео.html
