Excellent. Brad point drills make accurate hole drilling much easier. Keep the vids coming.

Very useful, thanks....but why not to use your CNC to do it ? It is easy to do and very very accurate at the end :-)

I certainly could have used the CNC and yes it would be very accurate. Its interesting to see the comments, when I use the CNC for simple projects people will complain that they don't have one and why don't you make it without the the CNC. I love your question, "...Why not use your CNC to do it?" I am trying to mix it up with CNC and non CNC projects. The last ten videos there has only been one CNC video. I will be doing much more on the CNC shortly. Thank you very much for reminding me.

@@PawPawsWorkShop ''We are hard to please'' :-) but of course you have to balance projects with and without CNC. Thanks for your great work for us

I agree you need to be as accurate as you can be, but I have to wonder if the jig were longer, if it would make less of a difference. Of course that would prevent you from marking near the end of a board.

The error would still be there, it would be a little less noticeable.

Another helpful video and jig. Would it be worth cutting the jig and holes on the cnc? Nicely done. Been wanting to get a center finder. But I do have incra's t rulers in 100 and 300 mm. Bit of a pain finding center with those but they do the job, just not efficiently. Much appreciated!

PAWPAW!! HEP ME! HEP ME!😁 Is there a way you could chat with me in the phone, I gots a problem with my Xcarve 1000, it's plunging way to deep and I can't get it to stop.

    • @PawPawsWorkShop

A couple of things to begin with. Is this a new problem? Have you calibrated the z axix? Meaning, if you move the z axis up 20mm does it move 20mm? Have you upgraded your z axis? Are you using the probe? Have you talked with Inventables support team? Lets get you working.

@@PawPawsWorkShop called inventables twice, still waiting for a call back, this is new problem, I calibrated everything when I first set tbe machine up, it's been doing fine, don't know what caused this. Should I go back and recalibrate every thing? If it's off then I'll need to figure out what caused it to "fly off the handle" this way. Haven't bumped it hard enough to knock it off kilter that much.

@@PawPawsWorkShop I am using the probe, but when I click on "probe" now, on the computer screen, the drill is already half way past the disk as it starts it's decline, it use to be above the disk and come straight down. I want to send a video of what it's doing but I don't know how to get it on here. Reason I wanted a phone call, I suck at typing and it's just too many words to describe what's going on clearly.

I don't know how it happened but somehow it got switched off of the Acme Screw to that other setup, once I switched her back, voila,it works, imagine that.😜

I was going to say that I have had this problem before and for some reason the settings are lost and very bad things happen. I actually write down the GRBL settings that I have changed for my calibrations and also for my laser. Anytime this happens, I can just grab my notebook and quick re-enter all the settings. For a while my computer would lose the settings every time I close the computer. It was in the security settings that had changes. Glad you got it fixed. Save the settings in a notebook.
