The special needs baby redfoot just passed away 2:40pm 8/12/2020. I saw it coming when I saw his mouth in this video and it’s only been a day since this video was recorded. Sucks to see him go after giving him special care for the past 8 months.
Thanks for the info. I'm sorry about your little red foot RIP. You did the best you could for him. He had best life possible. There's only so much we can do. If he had hatched in the wild like that he wouldn't of lasted the day
The tortoise with the soft shell....are u adding calcium powder or feeding them foods high in calcium like dandelions? Thats all it needs is calcium...the other tortoises are getting most or all of the calcium powder or whatever u use...i have sulcata tortoises.
Hey I thought I leave a comment if you ever come to a problem like this again with a baby. I basically live on a farm raising a lot of different animals and babies, I normally came across such behaviours of heavy breathing from babies when they are moments away from dying. I have done some research on this myself and one of the most common answer was that it is a collapest lung, hence the heavy breathing. This can normally happen if they were Ill from the start and over time the lung collapse or if they fell from a hight or even can be caused if they were exposed to a lot of shaking or being picked up. basically the babies will look normal they will eat, drink but they will never grow and their life time is cut to about a month to a few weeks. Unfortunatly I was only luck once in saving a baby like this and is now happily living out his days, but he did develop some disabiltys like the right leg started going stuff and is hard for him to use however he still use it to push himself around. Just seeing that gave me the idea that it might have been his right side that was effected if he does move around or fast for to long he does breath heavily and you can sometimes here a pop. However he over came his problem and does not show any signs of pain or being uncomfortable and living a happy live. Unfortuntly, there is not much hope for these guys, its just something that does happen with young babies. There is also not much we can do either than makking sure they are comfy, not being picked up or shaked a lot when they do look sick just to avoid any collapsing of lungs. I thought I share with you this if you ever just wondered and could not find a answer.
@@lisachavez3538 any time they are in contact with water just use the distilled one instead and you should see the whiteness slowly fade away after about a week but it can take up to a month however be careful if it is in a tank with a lot of water dont dump the normal water out, just take some out and replace it with distilled water over the course of like 3 days

It's awesome how big your tortoises are like before you ship them out, most breeders sell them too small. Love the channel
Thank you! And yes I hold them back a month or so and make sure they’re all eating and active before selling them
may Beetlejuice rest in peace
