I was 14 years old when Switch dropped this bombshell! They were an amazing group. Unfortunately they weren’t around that long and the great Bobby Debarge lived a tragic life.

I'm a new subscriber I'm 60 years old. I love watching young people listening to real music. No auto tune no lip singing. Just amazing voices. Bobby's brother Tommy was in the group too. My favorite music is R&B. I'm from Chicago born and raised. When I was growing up the music was unsurpassed. From the 1960's to the 1990's after that forget it. Much love and success to you

I think you might love a band called Lakeside. They remade a song by the Beatles called ' I wanna hold your hand'. The soul the put into that remake is something serious. I listen to this by Switch and that one by Lakeside almost every week. It's 🔥🔥🔥

Ya gotta love real music. Like others I was in Jr High when this came out and it was a refreshing break from disco (I still loves me some disco. Donna Summer was my first celeb crush)
But these guys could all play multiple instruments too. So much talent. And you'll notice in many of these soul and r&b classics the singers don't resort to endless runs. Again I love good well used runs, but, sometimes they are over used.
Why can't we have music like this anymore????

I enjoyed your reaction to Switch. It was even more unbelievable during the recording of each album. I was there for all of them and to this day it touches me. Check the notes on the album "This is My Dream" which was dedicated to my father, also a great album. The band still plays concerts, live they are even more mesmerizing. With Phillip Ingram (brother of James) and Aikli Nickson on lead vocals.

This is from my junior high/high school days..this song was huge. Switch and Debarge (some same family members) were always on the radio.
