I couldn’t watch more than 3 minutes. The music was mournful and sounded like someone trod on the cat’s tail. The dance movement I found also unappealing, nothing was happening then extremely slow.
You do realize that you could have just turned the video off instead of being rude, right? It took more effort in you writing that comment then to click another video. It’s not hard to not be rude. Obviously this dance and music holds a lot of importance. It is a court dance. Just because it isn’t your culture and doesn’t fit your idea of “good” music or dancing doesn’t mean it’s bad. Your comment was unnecessary.
Also if you took a second to watch it pick up, I think it is very beautiful. I do not know much about this dance or song so this is just what my thoughts are seeing it for the first time, but it starts out slow like the beginning of spring- when everything is slowly coming back to life with flowers sprouting, birds being active again. I think the movements of the dancer are very beautiful and fluid. At some points it looks like the video could be in slow motion until the explosive and percussive movement of her hands and the fabric that is attached. The mix of fluidity and sharp movements is what makes this piece very interesting and beautiful in my opinion.
