So helpful to see you do this for skiing/sunny snow footage. The lighting is so different from anything else. Especially the bit about blue from all the reflection
You are right, the light is very different on snow, there is so much of it because it all reflected around the place, I'm glad this has been useful for you!
hi rory! looks like you are not using a utility LUT (slog2 to rec709) first, just the color wheels for the colour correction? and why do you shoot in slog2 and not in slog3? i am still switching between them from time to time and have no favourite yet.. cheers marc
Hey buddy! I have used slog2 to rec709 LUTs in the past but I don't use them that often, I think it depends on what you think looks good, I quite like the sony look. Depending on the camera you are using there is basically no difference between slog2 and slog3. I think slog3 was designed for camera that use more than 14 stops, slog2 caps at 14 stops (I could be wrong on this though). I haven't found that there is really any difference between them once they have been corrected and graded so i think either is good. cheers mate, hopefully see you in the spring if we can travel again!
Good tutorial
Thanks Olaf 💪
Well next time I know what I have to do better, thanks for the information!
