You're absolutely right about those Tektro brakes. I've upgraded the forks to Marzocchi Z1 Airs, the handlebars to Renthal Fatbar (40mm rise), and added Tannus Armour Tire inserts. That's all this bike needs.
That’s awesome! It’s a great bike for sure! I have been thinking about upgrading the fork as well but so far it’s been serving me well. A Z1 would be a nice addition, I also saw Suntour has a sale on their Aion 36 which has some solid reviews too. Thanks for watching!
@@stephenbouck awesome! Likewise! I rode a ton this year but mostly on my local stuff, not as much in the mountains as I would like. Hopefully I can get out there again this fall.
Nice walk-around Ivan, that's another great bike you have there. If you want to tinker with it some more, would a remote fork LO be a benefit? Perhaps your rides don't have enough tarmac to need one and maybe the dropper post is more use.
Thank you! I’ve thought about it but I don’t see a lot of pavement other then a 5-7min ride to the trailhead. I have thought about doing the PCS damper upgrade on my fork but I have been happy with it as is. Maybe if this damper fails on me I’ll upgrade.
I’m 5’9 and it’s a Large. According to the size chart 5’9 put you on a large. That being said I’m also on a Large Trance with a 448mm reach and I fit that just fine too. You could probably go with a Medium Torrent too.
Awesome! I think you’ll be happy on a Medium as well. We’re at that height we can kind of flip flop between sizes. A medium will definitely be more playful and fun in the turns.
I'm 5'11" and comfortably ride a Medium. I'm more nimble in the chunk. But because of the slack head tube and and 160mm fork i installed, I can bomb downhill.
Love walk arounds thanks Ivan your hard tail is beautiful😃😎
That colour really catches the sun! 🌞
Thanks! I really like the colour too, it’s been an excellent bike over the last couple years.

@@ivanmtb00 same stayed local for the most part but got to head out west of the state to hit the mountains
Yeah I hear ya! I’m about 1.5 hour drive from my local mountain spot haha. I guess I’m taking my local riding for granted!

what size frame and how tall are you? I'm 5'9" would you suggest small or med frame? Thanks

@@George-Kliavkoff4Big12these bikes are pretty long, you can easily fit a medium comfortably too. Great bike!
How much did you pay
I bought mine in the middle of COVID so full price. I was lucky to find it! I think my LBS has it on sale for $1500 Canadian. That’s a great price!
