I was wondering he became that cold and detached after the loss of his wife.
He lost everyone i always thought why he was a bastard arrogant character..but after soul society arc and zanpakuto arc i really understood why he was so unhappy person...
byakuya actually lost everything he loved and he should live with a code he never wanted but was his duty to uphold... he was an aristocratic figure and he never let anyone to harm his pride or his duty.

As I’m rewatching the series I feel he is more of a representation of formality or etiquette of Japanese/soul society. He was just following the rules of soul society and his dialogue was always in line with that and he never particularly rubbed more salt in the wounds of his opponents than he needed too. He would just tell them that they’re too weak. The most resentment/pettiness he showed in his fights was not with ichigo renji but with Yoruichi when she escaped him.
Such a good story of him hisana and the the contradiction of his two oaths

I wish they would tell the story of how he met his wife and how they fell in love and I find it disappointing how they never incorporated it into the story we also don’t even know the illness that she died of or how she even got sick all we know is that they were married for five years and all that time she was looking for her sister who is she a been married for 5 years that’s all we know about her
I think they did but not with so many details..he wanted to marry a pure soul but hisana was very ill before she met him
Months b4 she die asked for byakuya to find rukia and adopt her even against his familys rules

They turned his release into something sad. In the early arc it was super dangerous and effective, like falling into a pool of razor blades and trying to swim out.
Nah is because kubo made him boring unlike his truly op zanpakuto
Is suppose shikai to be strong enough to drain the enemys stamina if that fails they go bankai (full power) to actually obliterate them in a matter of mins because they do lose much spirit energy in bankai form
His Shikai > lvl his Bankai had after the RG training, and of course his Bankai now is insane... so his release is op at the end.
I Feel Like Byakuya Story On How He Grew Up To Be So Prideful, Is To Protect His Heart. As His Blade Command Is Scatter I Feel Like It Shows On His Pass On The Burden Of Responsibilities From His Former Parents And Former Wife Cause His Heart To Scatter Into Many Princes, Like His Bankai. So His Pride Such As Rukia And Such Like His Ablities As A Captain, And His Family Noble House, It Would Be The Thing He Wants To Protect, As His Own Code Of Honor Like The Samurai

He just got an overpowered shikai and so no need to go full bankai mode to rip apart his enemies

I remember the first time I watched this when it came out when I was 15 yrs old. I had a huge crush on Byakuya Kuchiki. Still do now that I'm an adult. I was like omg he is the hottest bleach character ever. But then I ended up having a 2nd crush on another male character which was Renji Abarai. But Byakuya will always be my #1 crush from this anime.

I wanna know how strong Yoruichi actually is. She said she will make Ichigo stronger in 3 days like it's no big deal.
she also said out of everyone at the scene, nobody would be able to defeat Byakuya except Ichigo if he underwent that training, aka it wouldnt be far fetched to assume she incl. herself or she would've formulated it differently.
Yoruichi is a grand captain level and master of flash step
Ichigo had enough spiritual energy to wipeout whole seretei he never mastered any techniques until his 2nd time he fought hichigo to master the hollow mask
Yoroichi just taught him the fast flash steps

He learned from himself and his hollowhow to become stronger

@@ziggibear1920 We don't know how Byakuya would've performed against Aizen lol. This is the same Yoruichi who injured herself against Yammy while Byakuya and Zaraki were toying with Yammy's strongest form.
@@michaelshahoe yeah we do cuz aizen himself tells the espada to watch out for 3 ppl, being urahara, isshin, and yoruichi. Meaning he wasn't really worried about any of the others, except kenpachi and yamamoto as he says later. Plus obviously yoruichi wasn't going all out against yammy

11:37 yet a shit ton of people were able to use Bankai, it's a fun fact that early on things like these were said to be hard, like how menos grande were actually powerful when in the later parts of the story they seem like any other hollow
What shit ton of people ??? Only ichigo (false bankai )some lieutenants and captains have bankai ...there are thousands of soul reapers but only captains and some lieutenants have it ....watch anime witb eyes open
@@rishu4139 In the early parts of the anime it was said to be a really hard thing to master and only few could use bankai, even then some hadn't mastered it fully yet some lieutenants had 2 minutes of character development and bam, bankai masters.
@@StoryEnjoyer220 those lieutenants are 100 of years old and only rukia, hisagi,ikakku and renji have bankai and it takes 10 years of time to learn bankai and they all worked hard ...come back when you actually have seen the anime..
There are 6000 shinigami in the seireitei and 3 lieutenants out of 12 and captains have bankai and having bankai is actually necessary for being a captain

Byakuya means ichigo was the 1st enemy to live and engage byakuya with this technique
What he really meant was the 2nd person to see it because probably when he finally aquired bankai his grandfather helped him master it

Buakuya handed the victory to him he walks away and ichigo falls down
Kenpatchi gave ichigo hell and in the end both of them falls down which means it’s a draw between them
That’s what makes ichigo a unique character he doesn’t always win he win some and he loses some
Ichigo didn't defeated kenpachi he was holding back subconsciously and conciously and still ichigo lost
And he didnt defeated byakuya ichigo was barely holding the ground and byakuya just walked away god damnit....watch the fight again

Byakuya kuchiki is my favorite character in anime seen his past how much he loves hisana and cares about her and take the duty of his clan and protect the soul society as a captain it make him a wonderful character especially when he fights
He fights with confidence and intelligence and calmly he has many techs such as his shikai and his bankai has a lot of form (senbenzakura kagyoshi gokei senkei hakutaki and his secret weapon ikka senjinka ) he took out zommari yammy along with kenpachi s help . Koga tsukishima and the clones in the manga he got stronger than ever master the true nature of his shikai and evolve his bankai took as nodt along with 4 other quincys candice and the other 3 protect rukia from as nodt as always fight along with zaraki and toshiro the elite quincy but sadly he didn't have a major role in the novel
byakuya is really my favorite character in the whole anime hope we see a lot in tybw and novel arc
