Dinengdeng also called Inabraw. A famous assorted veggie dish and known as the secret of longevity which originated in Ilocos region. My family and friends love this version, hope you'll love it too. Bon appetit. All ingredients are optional, modify as per your liking. Take everything in moderation. "Health is Wealth".
Dinengdeng | Inabraw Recipe
Ingredients:
I - MilkFish Marinade
320 grams - MilkFish
1 tbsp - salt
1 tbsp - cornstarch
II - Frying
1/4 cup - olive oil
***MilkFish
1 sliced - crushed ginger
---------------------
2 tbsp - used olive oil
1/3 cup - dried shrimps
1/4 cup - garlic
2/3 cup - shallots| onions
1 tbsp - spicy chilis
1 cup - cherry tomatoes
1/4 cup - Filipino brown fish sauce
3 cups - water
1 & 1/2 cup - sweet potatoes
205 grams - bitter gourd
10 pcs - green chilis
120 grams - string beans
270 grams - eggplants
150 grams - okra
150 grams - mushrooms
1 tsp - chicken powder
1 tbsp - liquid seasoning
120 grams - baby spinach
Cooking Time: Approximately 40 minutes

Ganyan pala ang gagawin sa kamote na pangpasarap ng dinengdeng you're right tama na naglagay ka ng luya sa pagprito ng bangus hindi lang pampasarap kundi pangalis ng fishy smell ng bangus. Dito sa amin sa Tarlac, na pinaghalong Ilocano at Kapampangan style ng pagluto, ang ganyang pagkakaluto ay hindi na authentic dinengdeng. Pinakbet na ang ganyan luto. Pero mukhang masarap pa rin naman.

Hindi dinengdeng yan, yan ay para na ring ginisang gulay, ang dinengdeng ay walang bawang sibuyas at kamatis. Hindi tunay na ilocano ang nagluto niyan.

Wow, yummy! Even without the seasonings, Dinengdeng is delicious because of the crushed camote which gives a sweet taste.

What’s the difference between this dish and pinakbet?
Dinengdeng is a famous Ilocano dish based with brown fish sauce called bagoong yet so similar to pinakbet though. Originally pinakbet has more veggies but in my version, I like more veggies in my dinengdeng too Lanie❤

The recipe you have is exactly how she makes her Pinakbet, I only wish I learned a lot more before she passed away.Thank you for sharing, brings back great memories, especially when you talk IIlocano remind me of her.

Actually, there are different brands of Bagoong sold here in our Filipino stores. I choose Boneless Bagoong of any brand, whichever is available, and I'm glad that all are good too Lanie❤ best regards to all of you there in Florida USA!

Magkaiba po ang dinengdeng at inabraw , ang dinengdeng ay ay hindi iginigisa ang gulay at ang inabraw naman po ay puro dahon at bulaklak ng gulay lang hindi po ito iginisa
The real Ilocano dinengdeng is not sauteed. That's pinakbet!
