Absolutely AMAZING!!! Thank you so much for releasing this for a Big Block 460!!!
Got my pro flo 4 system after a little wait but it was worth it. Fairly easy to install despite not having a lot of extra room under the c3 hood everything fit well. Eddlebrocks tech support was very helpful and easy to contact to help me through some minor tuning issues. Car runs super smooth, throttle response is crisp and hot and cold starts are perfect.
Out with the old ..in with the new. I have been running a Rochester fuel injection on my 58 impala for over 20 years and I sold the F.I. unit for big bucks. It was not original to the car. I installed an Edelbrock Pro Flo XT4 in its place and I am very pleased. It was a wonderful experience to install a system that was not only well designed , with excellent directions but a great and I mean a great value. Using Edelbrock's universal fuel sump was also a big plus that saved money .
I got my pro flo 4 3-18-19 Read the fine print on the 35840 bbc oval port. "Designed and assembled in USA With foreign and domestic parts The intake had aluminum chips hanging out the intake side of injector holes. Aluminum chips all over the back side of the throttle body. I guessing to say the intake is Chinese, being it doesn't have the USA badge like the rest of the new intakes do.😡 I'm going to post a video of all of it Soon. Stuff I can fix, but hopefully the electronics will be good
I'd like to get the pro flow 4. I have the original pro flow purchased it new about 20 years ago for my fresh built 406 along with the performer rpm heads. I upgraded to 32lb injectors recently because the original 27lb ones are bad. It sat and the fuel went bad causing fuel system problems. I've got quite good at tuning it so I'm not really sure the self tuning and wide band is a good reason to upgrade. I can say it was one of the best purchases I've made car always starts and runs great.
Anybody with a 70 chevelle? Are there fitment issues with the cowl induction hood? I’m fine with cutting out the inner air cleaner area but I don’t want anything coming out of the hood…
Sadly from 2030 on all combustion cars including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Now they even want to slow down all the gas pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime. "Bundesabgasbespaßungsverbot" in German.
With the hall effect sensor in the distributor and the capability of individually controlled fuel injectors, why not utilize this to allow use of a direct ignition system? This seems like the last step to have a complete modern system, so why limit it to a single coil ignition?
Ive never had a problem running a carb. Daily drove them for many years. Cold starts just fine. The only advantage I see for a 400hp street cruiser would be the MPG gain. But it would have to be a very substantial gain for 1600 bucks!!
My main reason is for high altitude performance. I live in Los Angeles and I have a cabin in big bear. Everytime I drive up there my edelbrock 1406 carb drops hp drastically. Also great on the trail when climbing at steep angles.
ordered one on 6-7-2018. paid for it in full. they told me ship date would be 6-17- 2018, then 7-27 -2018,now ship date is 9-07 -2018. does this item really exist for sale?
I have a 1000 CFM Proflo 2 Kit I have had a lot of issues with trying to get the tune right do you have any kind of updated flashes that might make it run better it is on a small block Chevy 383 10 and 1/4 to 1 Pistons with Edelbrock Performer RPM heads camshaft and Edelbrock Gear Drive
Wow so you're going to answer the guy after me but since I guess I already spent my money with you I can kick rocks at the very least you could respond especially since I am a shop owner and have been installing Edelbrock for the last 20 years just saying
the pro-flo 4 XT, what is the height size where the throttle body is. I have yet to find this info as it seems higher than the ram. trying to see if this will fit a Cutlass supreme 81 where the hood is slanted.

hello I have a 1971 dodge charger and Also I have a 7/8 hemi 5.7 engine to install in my dodge charger 1971 and I want to know if there is a pro flo 4 XT fuel injection system for my 5.7 hemi engine
@@EdelbrockTV $2100, not $1600 or $1699. Extra $400 because the Vortec mounting holes are drilled different? And wheres the ProFlow 2?! I know its discontinued but you turned your back on many hotrodders that want the sleeper look and first glance looks carburated. No giant fuel rails running down the intake manifolds.
Stranahan Tile i got the same issues for mine. All they keep on saying is run it. Well i have about 1500 miles on mine and it still runs too rich. Even when i lean it out the cabin inside smells too much fuel. Honestly people need to stay away from this system.
archtstang67 ya i had the first one worked great im just going to sale my big block and tranny to much to switch it back to carb going ls swap i would not do pro flo ever again on my car edelbrock has been nothing but problems i wonder if thats why ed from the efi left edelbrock DO NOT BUY THIS KIT PEOPLE
archtstang67 and when i first got the kit the intake was to small for the vally leaked oil into the heads got a new one from edelbrock that was bigger that fixed that and i had two dead injectors only running on 6 at least they sent me a new intake and injectors still runs like shit this system is garbage
I know some of these comments are old, but you need at least 112 degrees lobe separation angle or lsa for the cam , they need vacuum so a big race profile cam will make it rich at low rpm's and idle 7" to 9" of vacuum anything less will cause a rich condition.
Any EFI systems for Cadillacs that got the 472 and 500 cubic inch engines? I'm exploring options of converting my 1968 Cadillac from carburetor to EFI.
Considering going with pro-flo on my 1976 searay boat. I live in Michigan so my boat is winterized about 5 to 6 months a year. ever year there are continuous carb problems from sitting. My question is that I have not seen this used on a boat application. At least not in any of my searches. Would this work for my boat and what can I expect to see in performance. Also has a Mercruiser out drive that has a momentary stall function that allows the out drive to disengage. Any thoughts on this or has this been done before.
Kevin for what it’s worth I just saw today on a summit racing’s website that these are not for marine applications. Something to do with coast guard approval/regulation. Translation: once they add the words marine application and coast guard the price triples.
I have a sbc 350 and want to buy this EFI to use with it. but Iam swaping out to a big block in one year. Can I use the same EFI kit on the BBC if I swap out the intake?
There is previsions on the rear of the manifold for the distrubuter. Assuming you are talking about a Chevy application. We do not offer an XT for Ford.
So does this unit not run a return line like most efi setups? I have a fitech system with an in tank pump setup and getting ready to install the pro flo 4 Xt but not sure about the return line
No sir I’m running a tanks inc setup I called and spoke to your tech department they recommended an in-line pressure regulator with a return line . What pressure should I be running on that setup?
Thank u much hoping to do the install next week. One more question do I need to run the correct geometry for the transmission kick down or does hooking up direct to your bracket work?
One could say the same thing about spending $1000 on their first microwave oven back in the late 70s. Now one costs as low a $39....and it's more powerful.
After being completely disappointed by Fi-Tech, & not having an available ultra ram unit for '86 - '96 SBC, but for everything else. Im looking at the pro flo 4 xt 38523, but which one will fit my L98 with "113" cylinder heads? Because apparently jegs & Summit dont say this all to clearly. Can i use a MSD digital 6L Ignition with this? And do i need anything from my original HEI set up? Apparently fi tech does.
I forgot to ask, what is the minimum number of vaccuum inches needed for this system? Can this support a large variety of cam shafts? Really looking at Comp Cams XE 283HR for my 383 Stroker, Claims to have 9" inches vacuum at 800rpm idle, & 12" @ 1000rpm. I plan to run accessories, booster, etc off aftermarket electric vaccuum. I'm so excited for this efi system, you guys hit all the right notes when you designed and priced it. I can't wait for it to come in the mail!

Does that pump sump have to be mounted perfectly vertical ? What are the mounting limitations for it ?
You should make videos explain all the setting on tablet for best performance
Very nice I have been looking for a good setup.

Will it fit under the hood of a 3rd gen camaro ?
I am wondering if there are or will be provisions for adding nitrous?
Please make a video on the fuel pump system.
Thanks
Can you run e85?
do you guys have the black one for a 454 big block chevy been looking and haven't had any luck finding it
It looks like the price starts at $2,261.95 not $1599.95 as claimed.

Is there any real difference or benefit with using the 4150 style or the xt? I’m not sure what would work best for me
yeh same thats what i want to know! due to the height for both.
Can these systems be used in mild boosted applications (street ProCharger setups)?
I think ill keep my 1407 its cheap and easy to work and in Texas cold days is like 60s or higher
The black throttle body would look hot on a Pontiac 389

It would be a Software update.
Edelbrock USA excellent!
